| That night, Zhen, Sakoo, and Monroe sat by the campfire eating dinner. As hard as he tried, Zhen couldn't help not looking at Monroe's ears. Monroe noticed, and he simply said, "I'm an elf." Zhen wasn't sure what he said. "Huh?" "You were looking at my ears. There're pointy because I'm an elf. All elves have pointy ears." "Oh," Zhen said, understanding. "So, Zhen, how long have you been with Sakoo?" Monroe asked, trying to make conversation. "All my life," Zhen responded. "For as far as I remember, Sakoo is the only person I've lived with." "You're lucky to have him as a teacher. He is very wise and a very good warrior." Monroe said. "How did you learn how to fight, Monroe?" Zhen asked. "Well, I was born in Ireland. I used to live in a village, but after some raiders destroyed the village, I started traveling to find a teacher who would teach me how to fight. My journey led me to Japan, which is where I found my master." "Who was your master?" Zhen asked. "His name was Tenshinhan." Zhen was surprised. "I've heard that name before. Of course, he was one the original Earth's Special Forces along with Goku. He was called Tien for short, right?" "That's correct," Sakoo replied. "After Goku gave his life to the Sheng Long, the Earth warriors went on with their lives. Some of them, like Tien, became martial art teachers." "Yes," Monroe added. "Krillen and Goten became teachers too." "Yes, Monroe, but you forgot one. My teacher, Master Piccolo." Both young warriors were shocked. Piccolo, the great Namekian warrior, Sakoo's teacher! "Yes, Piccolo was my teacher. He joined the Shaolin Temple and trained there for a while. He became one of the headmasters. That's how he became my master." "Cool! Is he still alive, Sakoo?" "I don't know, son," Sakoo responded. "I went back to the Temple a few years ago to visit him, but I was told he left a while before. It is said that he went back to the wilderness. But no one knows for sure." "What about Vegeta?" Monroe asked. "Vegeta stayed a few years on Earth with his family, but one day he just left. He went to space, just leaving Bulma and Trunks behind. It was very painful for them. So Trunks also went out to space, in search for his father. They haven't been heard of since." |
