| Outside Akira was talking to Oterro. He told him all about their heritage, and how they have so much power. Toma had told him the various things they could do, and was even teaching him. Still this was shocking to him. Toma said that he was going to teach Oterro how to fly someday, but they never got around to it. He was able to sense Ki, not very well but he was training his instincts. �I just can�t believe how mad she got.� It was Akira�s turn to be amazed. �You know she�s having a hard time with this thing between you two? She�s never felt it before, and because of her personality it�s confusing her. She�s got a lot to offer Oterro, I just hope your ready for it.� Oterro no more wanted to talk about his feelings with anyone other than Zelena, than Akira wanted to hear them. Now he just wanted to go to her, and let her know that he was there and will be for eternity. He walked into the house to find her. He saw Goten leave her room, and he bolted for the stairs. Goten grabbed his shoulder, �She�s sleeping now.� Oterro nodded and proceeded to her room. When he entered he saw her face and the dried tears that streaked her face. He frowned at the thought, and he went over to the side of the bed. He sat on the floor and stared at her. �I love you so much Zelena-chan.� He whispered, thinking she was asleep. A tear fell from her closed eyes, and she slowly opened them. �I love you too Oterro.� He wiped away the lonely tear that fell and crawled into bed beside her. He held her tightly. �I love you so much it hurts.� She said in a strained voice. He buried his face into her hair, and they both slept soundly. Sometime in the late night, Trunks finally came back. Zelena woke feeling his Ki, and she quietly and gently pulled away from Oterro. He never stirred. She left the room quietly and headed downstairs. She saw Trunks in the kitchen drinking a glass of juice and she walked over to him. Trunks just glared at her wondering if he could remain calm enough to be in the same room with her. �I�m sorry Trunks-chan. Can you ever forgive me?� She pleaded. She saw his face soften and she went over to hug him. �I forgive you. Were you really going to hit me with that blast?� He asked. �You know it would have killed you?� She taunted knowing this could provoke a fight with him. He humphed at her. Then she grew serious again. �Goodnight Trunks.� �Night Zelena. Oh Zelena?� He watched her turn around. �That was a weak ball you had going.� They gave each other a smile, and she headed up the stairs. He woke when she climbed back in bed and wrapped himself around her once again. <><><><><> When the light burned through the windows, Zelena woke to see Oterro starring at her. He gave her a smile and a kiss on the forehead. She sat up and stretched. He pulled her back down to him. �No, I�m not going to let you.� He said teasingly. She lightly laughed, and snuggled into his strong chest and arms. They heard the house buzzing with chatter, but decided to see how long they could stay in bed before someone would come and get them. They were able to stay uninterrupted for two more hours. Bra poked her head in. �Are you too ever going to get up? It�s 10:00 for crying out loud.� She whispered. �We were going to go skiing. Did you guys want to come?� Zelena raised her head and peered over his broad shoulders to look at Bra. �Yeah maybe in a little while. You guys head on out, and we�ll be there when we�re ready.� Bra rolled her eyes, and closed the door. As she started to head down the hallway she heard Zelena giggling loudly. Bra shook her head and went downstairs. �Well what are they doing up there?� Marron growled. �We are ready to go, dammit.� �They said to go without them, that they will be there later.� Bra said sneering. �I�ll get them out.� Marron said evilly and she flew up the stairs. The bedroom door slammed open and the lazing couple turned to see Marron lunge at them. She started jumping on the bed. �Get up, get up, get up, get up.� She chanted as she bounced up and down. Zelena kicked her leg out, and Marron flew off the bed and landed on the floor with a thud. �We will get there when we are ready.� Zelena said slowly and deliberately. Marron jumped back on the bed. �I�m not going away till you get up.� She said as she started shaking the bed. Oterro couldn�t stand it anymore and he got up. �I�m going to go get a shower.� He bent over and kissed Zelena then left. Zelena growled at Marron who beamed triumphantly. <><><><><> On the slopes Trunks and Akira gave skiing a shot. They did better than the snowboard and actually started to enjoy themselves. Everyone was doing the option that they did best. The guys were snowboarding down the man made pipes, while the girls skied with Trunks and Akira. This was the first time that Zelena hadn�t been around Oterro for more then 30 minutes, and she was barely hanging on. After several hours she had to fight the urge to find him. On the chair lift she rode with Bra. �You�re doing good Zelena.� Bra said noticing that the two have been separated for quite some time now. �Think about it like this. When you do finally see him, the separation makes you guys that much stronger.� �Thanks Bra. What would I do without my family?� �Oh you�d be locked up in some rubber room.� She teased. �You know it�s been the same for Marron and I. We haven�t been apart from our guys either, and yes it�s killing us but you just have to hang on. Besides I bet the guys are going just as batty.� �If that�s the case then why haven�t they come over here to snowboard?� Zelena sighed. �Because we all need to be weaned for tomorrow we have to resume our humdrum lives.� She moaned. Zelena could see that she wasn�t the only one after all. That didn�t help much, but at least she wasn�t alone. It had been five hours, and Zelena had enough. She met the others at the bottom of the slope. They all agreed that they were done, and they headed over to the snowboarding park, but didn�t see the guys anywhere. Zelena felt herself start to panic. Akira grabbed her arm sensing her distress. The three guys came barreling out of a half pipe that shielded them from view. Zelena let out a huge breath in relief. Oterro saw her and his eyes widened at the sight of her. They met each other half way. �So did you miss me?� He said casually. �Of course not goose. Did you miss me?� She lied of course, and he knew it. �Nope, not at all.� He lifted her off the ground and gave her one of his best kisses. Goten ran to Bra and swept her up into his arms, and she giggled. Marron elegantly walked up to Toma and gave him a big kiss. Akira and Trunks pretended to gag at all of the affection. �Good grief, you act like you haven�t seen each other for five hours or something.� Trunks teased. The five couples headed back to the Chalet. The girls decided to cook a big meal for their last night. The aroma of the meat cooking was driving the guys crazy. They went upstairs and started packing. As the food was cooking the girls went to start the inevitable as well. Zelena sighed as she held the gown that she wore to the formal. She carefully packed it in the garment bag. Marron saw this and went to give her friend a reassuring hug. Bra decided to join in and they all laughed as they did a group hug. The guys had finished and headed back downstairs to the empty kitchen. They started to take out the dinnerware to set the table. Akira placed a champagne glass beside each plate, for everyone was going to have some tonight. They still had 6 bottles that were chilling in the refrigerator. Dinner was ready and the girls brought it out and set it on the table. Instead of rushing to the table, the guys respectfully waited. This shocked the girls. The champagne had been poured and everyone sat down to eat. Zelena turned towards Oterro so she could gaze into his eyes as they slowly chewed their food. Sometimes she would sneak a piece of food into his mouth, or vice versa. Dinner was over and the table had been cleared and dishes were done. Zelena grabbed her champagne glass that she never touched throughout dinner and leaned into Oterro as he was against the kitchen counter. She took a sip of her champagne and squinched her face at the taste. He laughed, and then he kissed her to taste it on her lips. He preferred the taste on her then out of the glass as well. She led him out to the deck where they gazed up into the starry night. She threw her hands around his neck, and he put his around her waist. �Do you trust me?� She asked him. His eyes softened with the question and she slowly ascended into the air. He never flinched or got nervous. He just gazed down into her eyes trusting her completely. They returned to the ground, and went back inside. Everyone was draped in their loved ones arms lounging around the living room. Soft music came from the radio, setting the mood for romance. Oterro guided Zelena through the maze of people, till he found a spot in front of the fireplace. He sat down and softly pulled her into his lap. Everyone talked quietly as if raising your voice would disrupt something, no one wanted to go to bed and they stayed there till late into the evening. Slowly the couples dispersed one by one, until Zelena and Oterro were left alone. She got up and grabbed the blanket and pillows that had been left there throughout the week. She threw them at him playfully; when she got near he grabbed her hand and yanked her down with him. She was directly on top of him and her hair had cascaded around them. She eased her self to the side of him and propped herself up on her elbows. �Zelena?� �Hmm.� �Trunks is going to arrange and interview for me.� He said quietly. She closed her eyes. �I have too Zelena. I need to better myself and Capsule Corp. is a major step for me.� She laid her head down on her now crossed arms and her face was facing towards the fire away from him. He turned over on his side facing her. She wouldn�t look at him. After a few minutes she lifted her head and turned it towards him. Laying it back down she stared into his eyes. Still there was sadness in her eyes. �I know he�s hurting for someone in the computer department, and I know it�s a good thing. But I also know the life of a Capsule Corp. worker. I guess I was just being selfish in not wanting you to go.� �You know the thought of not being around you is killing me.� He said smiling down at her. �What am I going to do with you?� �Oh I don�t know. But I hope you�re miserable. For I know I will be.� She said seriously. I love you, she mouthed to him. He smiled and kissed her passionately. He whispered, �I love you too.� He rested his head on her chest and fell asleep listening to her rapid heartbeat. <><><><><> The bags were all in the foyer. Oterro got off the phone with the airlines and was able to change his plane ticket to the flight that Zelena was taking. The limo came up and the driver packed the luggage in the car. The group filed out of the house and took their seats in the limo. Oterro held her hand the entire flight never letting go. The plane landed and the group hung back till all the other passengers left, they slowly exited to return to reality. As they came through the doors they saw all the parents waiting anxiously for their children. Goten let out a long breath when he saw Vegeta standing away from the group. Raditz saw Oterro holding Zelena�s hand, and he started to get a little upset. Linhe talked soothingly to her mate trying to calm him down. �He�s a nice guy Raditz, give him a chance.� Bulma rushed up and hugged her children, throwing question after question at them. Goku slapped his son on the back, and Chi-Chi shrieked when she saw him. Akira and Toma dutifully kissed their mother on the cheek and she gave them a hug. Marron�s parents were waiting for her, and swaddled her with hugs and kisses when they saw her. Toma walked over to say hello to her parents out of respect. Then she hugged him goodbye �call me tonight.� She whispered in his ear. Krillin raised his eyebrow when he saw his daughter hug Toma. She slowly pulled away from them and headed off with her parents. �Mother? Father? I want you to meet Oterro.� Zelena said as she reluctantly let go of his hand. He bowed respectfully to the parents. �We�ve met before. How are you Oterro?� Linhe asked. Trunks yanked him away to meet his mother. �Mother, I think you may want to interview Oterro. He is a computer programmer.� Her eyes brightened. �Absolutely, how about Monday?� She offered. He nodded, and walked away from the two so they can spend some time together. Trunks and Akira said their goodbyes to the twins and escorted them to an air taxi. �Well I guess we will see you guys later.� Goku said as he and his family started to leave. Bra couldn�t contain herself, she ran up to Goten, and jumped into his arms. Everyone gasped. Goten looked at Vegeta, who glared back at him. He didn�t leave his spot, but he did shift uneasily. He snorted and looked away. Bra slowly released Goten kissed him on the cheek and walked back to her family. Bulma ushered her family out of the airport with Vegeta walking behind them. �Let�s go guys.� Raditz said in his deep voice. He grabbed his mate�s hand and they walked out of the airport with the twins behind them. Oterro and Zelena hung back to say good-bye properly without the eyes of her father glaring at them. She jumped in his arms and he wrapped his arms around her waist. He put his face in her hair. �Call me, Goose.� She said as she started to pull away. Still holding her hand he pulled her back to him and gave her kiss. Then he let her go and they walked outside together. He watched her pull away and his heart sank. �You�re awfully quiet back there.� Linhe said to her children. Raditz didn�t turn around, for he saw that guy kiss his little girl and it made him sick to his stomach. <><><><><> Later that evening Zelena sat at her window and looked out into the starry night. She heard a knock on her door and without turning around she told the person to enter. Raditz stepped in. He saw his daughter by the window, and he let out a sigh. �Zelena.� He whispered as he sat down on her bed. She turned her head towards him and gave him a smile. �You look so different.� �Oh do I?� �Everything about you has changed. I can�t explain it, but it shows in your features and your mannerisms.� He said as he stared at his daughter. She looked like she became a woman, and he groaned at what that would mean. `How can I ask her about that?` he said to himself. �I saw you and Oterro together in the airport. The way you looked at him, and yes I noticed the way that he looked at you.� He saw her blush. �It was so weird. All of sudden I noticed this strange feeling coming over me.� She got up and sat beside him on the bed. �I know that feeling all to well. It never goes away, and it�s insatiable.� He told her. �That is it�insatiable. I just can�t get enough of him.� She looked at her father and saw a sadness in his eyes. �You�re not going to forbid me to see him are you?� Her eyes were wide with fright. She had mistaken the sad look for bad news that he was going to spring on her. He shook his head no, although he desperately wanted to choke Oterro, he saw that his daughter was too far gone. �Of course not. You have a good head on your shoulders. You were never like Bra and Marron who chased after boys. As long as you�re happy and he treats you better then you could ever hope, then I can do nothing. It�s just very hard to accept that I have lost you, it�s every father�s worst nightmare.� �Father you haven�t lost me. I may have changed, but my love for you has only gotten stronger.� She threw her arms around him. He returned the gesture. �May I ask you something Zelena?� He said as he pulled away from her hug. She waited for him to ask his question. �Was he a gentlemen?� That question had so many meanings, and she thought she found the one that he wanted the answer to. �Yes, very much so. I assure you father, no one could beat him in that department.� Emphasizing assure. He was relieved; he knew that she understood the deeper meaning of his question. �Alright then, may I give you one piece of advice?� �I will always take your advice.� �Make sure that when it happens, that you are 100% ready. Don�t ever let anyone cloud your judgment. O�.Kay?� He kissed her on the forehead and turned to leave. �Father?� He turned around to look at her. �I love you so much.� She ran up to him and gave him a hug. He smiled warmly at her and left. He shut the door behind him and he heard her phone ring. He listened to her side of the conversation, and he new it was Oterro. He walked away to leave her in private. <><><><><> Bulma decided to finish up some things at the office for a big meeting that was going to happen tomorrow. Vegeta flew into her office. She looked from her desk to see the dreaded scowl on his face. �I�m telling you right now woman, that I do not approve.� Vegeta growled. She had known he would come to her sooner or later and rant. She sighed as she pushed herself from her desk. �What do you want me to do Vegeta? Demand that she not see him anymore?� She returned the growl. �She turns 18 in a couple of months, which makes her free to make her own choices. If we intervene on this Vegeta, she will run. They have deep feelings for each other and there is nothing we can do about it.� �You know damn well that she cannot hide from me. There is something I can do about it. I could kill the little�� He started to shout. �Vegeta. Stop it.� She demanded. �If you�re so against this then why aren�t you telling it to her? Let me caution you, that if you turn our daughter away from us, more specifically me, you will be dead to me.� She said and tears welled up in her eyes, but she kept them back. �For forbidding her to see him, will only drive a wedge between the three of us. So I beg of you to think about it before you forbid anything.� She stormed past him and headed home. Before she could get half way home Vegeta landed in front of her. He took her into his arms and carried her the rest of the way by foot. She threw her arms around his neck and rested her head against his chest. <><><><><> �Well Oterro. Your resume is very impressive. I�m surprised that Competron hasn�t worked harder to keep you. So here is my offer.� She wrote a figure down on a piece of paper and slid it to him. Trunks gave him some advice on the negotiations of his salary, and told him not to accept the first offer. He wanted to take it for it was doubled what he was making now, but he held out. He slid the offer back to her, and she looked at him approvingly. She wrote down another number and slid it back to him. He was about to pass out when he saw the figure. He composed himself, and straightened his tie. �I accept.� He wanted to shout, but remained professional. Bulma, Linhe, Trunks, and several other board members jumped up and congratulated him on joining the team. �Trunks, will you finish up here?� Bulma asked. She and the others left the two men alone to discuss employment. �Congrats. Oterro.� Trunks said. Then he handed Oterro a thick package. �This contains A LOT of paper work for you to review and sign. Please feel free to have a lawyer look them over, and return them on your start date. Which I�m assuming will be in two weeks?� Oterro nodded in agreement. �Good then blah blah blah. There I gave you the Capsule Corp schpeal. So what are you going to do with the rest of your day off?� Oterro was cracking up at Trunk�s lax attitude towards work. �I think I�m going to go visit someone.� Trunks nodded in understanding. �Wish I could have the rest of the day off. Oh well see ya around.� He escorted Oterro to the door. <><><><><> Raditz answered the door and saw Oterro. He gestured for him to come in and sit down. �She�s over at her cousins to get something. She will be back shortly.� Raditz explained. Oterro knew a speech of some sort was coming, he didn�t mind for it showed how loved she really is. �I will get to the point, and I will be brief.� Raditz said in a flat tone. �I am not forbidding her to see you, for I feel that my daughter is very responsible and I know she can defend herself if need be.� He grinned with pride. �She assured me that you are a gentleman, and I respect that. Please don�t prove her otherwise.� Oterro sensed that Raditz, like Akira, would not be patient with idle assurances. So he respectively bowed to Raditz. He returned the bow with a nod of his head for Saiyan�s didn�t bow to anyone. The door opened and Zelena�s eyes widened when she saw Oterro. She flew into his arms, and Raditz left them alone. He flew off to see if Vegeta wanted to fight. She planted kisses all over his face, and he held her tightly. �I�ve missed you something fierce.� She squealed. �What are you doing here?� �I have the rest of the day off and I thought maybe you would like to go somewhere.� �Absolutely. Let me go change first.� �Why I like those little shorts you�re wearing.� She giggled at him and flew up the stairs. She ran a brush through her hair to get the tangles out and pulled it back into a ponytail. She kicked off her shorts and threw on a pair of jeans, and she replaced the t-shirt that she was wearing with a short-sleeved sweater that revealed her abdomen. She slipped on a pair of white tennis shoes and went back downstairs. He stood up from the couch when he saw her appear. �You look amazing.� He said as he caught her in his arms. She wrapped her legs around him and he carried her out to the car. She sat in his lap as he drove. She just couldn�t get close enough. He smiled at her lovingly. �You know if a cop sees me, I will get a ticket?� He said not really caring. She put her face in his neck. �I love you Oterro.� She whispered into his ear. �I love you too Zelena.� |
