As he leaving the house, he found Pan sulking on the stoop. "Pan-chan, what's wrong?"
"It's Tomarotto. He's been very distant for some time now. I don't know what happened to us, Tousan," she said as tears swelled up in her eyes. Gohan knew it was because Tomarotto was keeping a secret from Pan-- one that would destroy a father-daughter relationship. Tomarotto knew that Pan's world would come crashing down around her if she knew her father and her uncle's wife shared a night of passion.
"Pan-chan, I don't know what to tell you," Gohan frowned down at his daughter. He felt like such a heel because he was the reason she was in pain.
"I will go talk to him."
"You will?" She dried her eyes.
"Yes, I will. Is he home right now?"
"He should be."
"Okay, don't worry about a thing," he said as he kissed her forehead.
"Thank you," she hugged him tightly.
"I would do anything for you, my Panny," he said before taking off into the air. 'I've got to do something. I can't stand to see her like that.' He flew over to where Tomarotto lived, just outside Capsule Corp. Gohan walked up to the porch, but heard a noise just before he knocked on the door.
"I'm not in there," a voice said. Gohan turned around to find Tomarotto floating above him.
"We have to talk. You're breaking Pan's heart."
"I'm breaking Pan's heart?! You're the reason I can't be around her!"
"Listen, I know you saw me leaving Bra's window that night . . ."
"Not to mention I could sense it."
"I hid my Ki. How could you sense it?"
"When two bonded Saiyans mate, any one with Saiyan blood can sense it."
"What?! What are you talking about!?"
"You and Bra are bonded, Gohan-sama. You're lifemates."
"How do you know that?"
"Because, I am a full-blooded Saiyan. I know these things. You and Bra have
Human blood; you really can't sense these things. I bet Prince Vegeta could sense it, too."
"Oh, Dende! That's all I need-- Vegeta knowing I had sex with his daughter."
"He knows that you and Bra are bonded."
"WHAT!?"
"He told me that he knew she was bonded to you, not Goten. He also suspects that you are the father of the unborn child."
"You didn't tell him?"
"No, I didn't. It's taken everything I have to keep from telling him�and Pan."
"I know. You feel as though you're lying to her, but you're not."
"I'm keeping something from her."
"I am too, but there's no way I'm going to tell her that I had an affair with Bra. Her mother leaving her almost destroyed her. What do you think telling her that her father slept with someone who's much younger than he is and who's married to his brother?!"
"But, . . ."
"Please Tomarotto, don't tell her. I can't destroy her like that."
"But, why? Why did you do it?"
"Videl decimated my heart, but Bra revived it. I love her. I know I can never have her, but I shared one intimate moment with her and maybe we created a child together-- that's good enough for me."
"Gohan-sama, I . . ."
"Think about it Tomarotto. If you decide to tell Pan, at least let me know. That way I can be prepared for it."
"Hai." Gohan flew off toward Goten's and Bra's house hoping that Goten wouldn't be home so that he could talk to Bra.
