Weren't the days of shareware great? You could get an entire 1/3 of a game for free! Nowadays they have tiny little demos that let you play for like 10 minutes. I never actually had the full version of monster bash, but thats because I didn't need it. This game was particularly hard and the shareware was long! I probably spent a good 20 hours on the shareware alone and I still didn't beat it!
In Monster Bash you are a little kid with a slingshot and your dog is kidnapped by zombies or something. You have to jump around freeing dogs and cats and then get to the exit. This game has very impressive graphics, and you will be hooked. THe only really bad part of this game is the uninspired music. Kinda bleak. Whatever, you can't have it all! There are also some really cool (and at the time it came out outrageous) effects. For example when you kill certain ccreatures their heads explode and gibs fly everywhere and when you defeat a skull its nasty bloody eyes roll out. As much as the title sounds like it, this is not a kiddie game, tlthough many aspects are rather cutesie. If you want a cutesie platformer, stik with Commander Keen.
