The Commander Keen Series - MY FAVORITE GAMES EVER!

The First games I EVER owned for PC were Commander Keen 4 & 5. I remember my dad taking me to CompUSA to let me pick out a game back when we got our first computer. Keen immediately caught my eye. I had never heard anything about it before, but it looked cool so I bought it. Thats enough nostalgiac (i dunno how to spell it) reminising (i dunno how to spell that either.) Anyway, the Commander Keen series boasts colorful graphics, cutesy (but not too sickeningly cutesy) charactors, good soundtracks, and most of all awesome gameplay.

Commander Keen 1-3 has mediocre graphics and O.K. sound, but great gameplay and levels. Despite their general ugliness these games are great.

Commander Keen 4-6 is where this series really shines. The graphics were outstanding, and they still look pretty good today! The gameplay and stuff is completely revamped, but not changed too much. Veterans of the first 3 games wont be dissapointed. I LOVE Keen 4. I've probly beaten it at least 9 times. Keen 5 is almost as good, but a lot harder. Keen leaves the tribal fantasy word of keen 4 and goes to a more hi-tech futuristic world full of fortresses and robots. Keen 6's levels are kind of a mix between those of 4 and 5. You MUST get these great games

Commander Keen Dreams is the last in the series. It was released as part of some weird "lost game" series apogee makes. once again they've re-vamped the graphics and gameplay, but this time for the worse. Instead of shooting your laser gun you throw litle glowing balls, and instead of robots and fantasy creatures your enemies are vegetables. A step down from Keen 4, 5, and 6, but I found it still worth the time to beat.
