| Week of January 1, 2003 - First and formost, Kris and Kenia would like to wish every one a wonderful and happy New Years! Ok..I have been really bad about posting our on goings. But now that we have DSL (YEAH!!!) it will be much easier! Christmas was quite a holiday. On Eve, Kris and I spent the evening with my family (Kris's parents also came to my mom's house for the festivities). On Day, Kris and I hung around lazily all day at his parent's house. Kris recieved his long wanted Wine Refridgerator which holds 34 bottles and has three temp. controls. In just 19 days, Kenia will turn the big 2-8!!! Man, where does the time go. Jack and Carol Carlson welcomed a new addition to their family, Abby Gloria Lee Carlson. This bundle of joy was a gift from their daughter Rebecca and her husband Chandler. Abby is half chow chow & half lab (let's all pray that the lab qualities take over instead of the chow) Pictures will be posted soon. |
| Week of January 27, 2003 - Yes I know I am so horrible at this journal thing. Well, my birthday was last Monday and I turned 28! Man, do you know this mean that in less than 2 years I will be 30 and then in less than 12 years I will be 40!!!!! I better get those babies popped out soon! The most interesting and exciting thing to happen since my last entry is that I got birthday scammed by Dean & Rog from 93.7 The Arrow, our classic rock station here in town. Their intern also works at Pappasito's and Kris and Wil (the intern) got together and decided to pull a fast one on me. Basically they called up pretending to be the home association and they said they had gotten lots of complaints on us and due to all the issues, they were ready to kick us out of the neighborhood. They claimed they had complaints about our trash cans, public urination at 2 AM!!!, and dog poo, just to name a few. Needless to say I got scammed but I was kind of skeptical about the whole call in the first place. It was pretty funny and a bit crushing on my ego that I fell for it. I got compensated with a month worth of free car washes from Mr. Bubbles, a Dean & Rog shirt and cup, two tickets to the premiere of "The Recruit" staring Al Pacino, and a dell micro chip thing-a-ma-bob. Pretty cool all in all. |
| Week of April 7, 2003 -Ok, I SO SUCK!!! I am so bad at this..no wonder I never had a dairy..actually I did but it only had like 3 entrees. Ok so it has been like 2 1/2 months since I have updated this site..but I have had serious issues (I don't mean the kind where I need to be medicated).. Kris and I have been fighting the evil inside our home computer. Currently it is winning though Kris is quite tempted to take a sledge hammer to it as a form or exersism. I have actually gone bonkers over a series of books called In Death by J.D. Robb. I went online and won on ebay all 18 books in the series. And as of this afternoon I have read ALL of them! YEAH FOR ME!! Now I have to re-read them IN ORDER. Kris and I are proud to welcome a new member to the Carlson Gene Pool. Buddy Carlson and his girlfriend were blessed with a little baby girl recently whom they named Madison. Buddy's sister Mickey and her husband Aaron will be welcoming their second daughter with in a few months. (picture up soon on friends and family picture portion). Thanks to all this breeding, Kris and I have decided to try to reproduce. Should be quite interesting. So far nothing but the practicing sure has been very creative and fun! I have also decided to return to Volenteering at the animal shelter where we got Kameron. There is a dog walk scheduled for May 17 and it should be a blast. Brent Carlson actually came down and visited with us in Texas. We had a total blast with him and tried to squeeze as much of Houston as we could into him. Kris of course tried to convince him that University of Texas was the way to go (yeah he was not bias at all!). We cannot wait for him to visit again! I actually got to join up with some old friends from highschool. At the end of last year, I reunited with her old friend Mercedes Maria Flores who is now Mrs. Mercedes Flores-Hebert. She has a beautiful little boy that just turned one year old recently and his name is Mario. I also got to email a few old friends and even got the chance to see her old friend Heather Pinnick. Heather lives in Atlanta with her husband and was temporarily here in Houston working as a consultant to one of our area companies. She recently went back to Atlanta but is hoping that she will be moving back here to Texas shortly. I also got to see one of her old best friends, Stacey Gardner, who is now Mrs. Stacey Mitchell. She married Jayson Mitchell who also attended Clements High School. Both came down and her parents threw a crawfish boil. It was such a thrill to see her again and it almost seemed as if all those years that we were out of touch did not exsist. All of these friends and I have planned to attend the 10 year reunion in June but will more than likely just hang out in the hotel bar and snag people when we see them (none of us are too crazy about paying $60.00 a person!!). It is crawfish season here in the South and that make me SOOOOOO happy!!!!!!! Yes I do love crawfish, crawdaddies, what ever you want to call them. Just throw them little guys in a huge, hot steaming pot of water filled with spices and I am on cloud nine! So far the season has been average with a few big guys popping up here in there. In other news...There is a dog walk scheduled for May 17 held by Citizens for Animal Protection and hopefully I will remember to take Pictures. well that is all for now.... |
| Week of May 5, 2003 -Ok, so I have so decided that I am going to do this once a month vs. once a week..too much stress and dedication..lol Well there is not much to write. I have about 2 months until my 10 year reunion. Well I could work out and look all hot and stuff, since we finally got our work out equipment all set up (thanks Uncle Teo), but that would actually mean I would have to do something when I got home. Usually just like to hang outside with Kameron or sit in front of my fish tank and watch them all swim around like crazy. There are going to be 2 new additions in June or July. Mickey Carlson should be giving birth to her second daughter and Angie Wacpeng should be giving birth to her second son. All is looking well medically for Chan and Rebecca so hopefully, fingers crossed, rubbing the rabbits foot, tossing salt behind our backs,..etc.., hopefully God willing we should have another bundle of joy. (hope this is not a jinx) On May 17, CAP is holding a benefit for homeless animals and they are having a dog walk. Ms. Abby Carlson will make her debut there and if she doesn't attack or kill anyone, all will go well...hopefully I will remember to take pictures... JOSHUA N.O.M.I. (no middle initial) ORTIZ (Kenia's Brother) recently has been harrasing me because I have not noted his name down enough times in this website.. So once I get the scanner working (heck, the computer while I am at it) I will scan tons of pictures of JOSHUA ORTIZ so that all of you who adore him as much as I do, will have countless amounts of information and pictures of him. And yes ladies, he is single......"He is a monster hottie "(or so one of my ex employees told me once...) Mother's day is coming up this weekend and purchasing of gifts has partially been done and will conclude on Wed. May 7, 2003. Some new fish were purchased and once I can steal a digital camera again, I will finally post all the fish pictures!!!! Kris and I are scheduled to take a trip to Dallas in early June for some races, so yes there will be a million and a half new pictures...hopefully I will get close enough so they are not so blurry as they have been in the past. Oh and did I mention there will be a shrine to JOSHUA ORTIZ coming soon?!? It seems I am going to have to figure out a new structure for this page since I am running out of room. Honestly need to figure out a better way to do a webpage..but oh well.....until next time..hopefully new photos to arrive soon!!!...........PEACE |
