| He rose quickly, prodding Taiin awake as soon as he rose. "What now?" Taiin muttered as he sat up, shaking himself and fluttering his fancy wings. "Hey, I have to get up at this time, so you do too," Kei replies. I assume that means I have to get up too, doesn't it. Ariake rumbled as he rose, his wings rustling as he does so. Kei grins, "You're the whole reason I have to get up at this time, Ariake. So come on, lazy bones." Ariake rumbles as he walks out of the den, his orange hide glistening in the early morning sunlight, I'm not lazy. "If you say so," he returns as he walks out alongside his bondmate. Ariake snorts and spreads his wings, What do you think we'll have to do today? "Oh I dunno, drills, more practice, drills, and even more practice most likely." Taiin lands on Kei's shoulder, remarking, "Better not let HeadKnight Sherra hear you, or we'll end up doing drills and nothing else today." Hrmph, you're a fine one to speak, you don't even have to do anything. "True, but watching you guys wears me out so much." Kei rolls his eyes, "Come on, I want to eat something before M*jora decides that we've been given ample time to get ready." _______________________________________________________________________________________ Afternoon found the weyrling dragons, and their riders, practicing drills, with HK Sherra helping M*jora teach. Why do we have to do this drill again? Ariake rumbled softly. Hush! Do you want Delith to hear you?! One of the twin yellow dragons hissed. I would prefer not to have to do more drills. The other yellow dragon muttered. You know what would be nice? A long bath in the ocean. Morriera's Rasha commented. Delith turns her head and looks at the four with amusement, all four suddenly silent and all four riders trying not to laugh. Children. Delith mutters to herself in amusement. This last comment is too much for the four riders, and they all break out laughing, trying, but failing, to control themselves. _______________________________________________________________________________________ "Nice going, silly," Kei remarks as he oils Ariake's hide later that night. How was I to know that she'd be listening?! Ariake rumbles as he flips a wing up to allow Kei to oil under it, his eyes lidded. "She's always listening when she's there, you should know that by now." Ariake grumbles to himself about certain people not having any sympathy, causing Taiin to burst out laughing. Kei grins, trying not to laugh, "But Ariake, you and the others really should have realized that she would be listening." Then why didn't you riders warn us?! "We didn't think you needed warning, we thought it would have been obvious to anyone that she was listening," Kei remarks innocently. Ariake glares at him, then shifts his position, letting Kei oil the rest of him. Kei bursts out laughing and continues laughing all through the time that he's oiling Ariake. |
