Chakotay finally stepped back. "Arianna?"
"Yes Arianna, she really does resemble me that well?"
He just nodded.
"Well I knew that, although I was hoping it would be my news. Her twin on the other hand looks much more like you."
   He looked a little shell-shocked so she invited him to sit before asking if he was ready to meet their family. "For two people who were only lovers for less than a month we have quite a family." Katherine tapped her com-badge. "You can come in now, slowly."
   As the doors opened Katherine filled him in on who was who. Arianna was the first one to come in, followed by "Taya, or should I say Captain Paris, Her husband Owen carrying little Marie who is one month today, and that is Lanie hiding behind his legs." Chakotay hadn't noticed the four year old until she was mentioned.
   He soon found himself holding the infant, although Lanie was content to watch him from behind her father.
   "Chakotay"
    "Hmmm?" He said without taking his eyes of his granddaughter for more than a minute except for to look at his daughters and other granddaughter. "I'm sorry, did you say something else?"
Katherine smiled patiently "There is more." she said.
   "More?" She had his full attention finally. "What do you mean by 'more'?"
She closed her eyes for a moment, "About four months after we lost you we had another run-in with Seska."
   "Seska!?"
    "we wound up blowing up the Kazon ship, but there was an escape pod launched, Seska and the baby were on it; She died before we could get her to sickbay but Cole was all right. I raised him with the girls. "
     "Cole?" He looked around and saw him then standing near the doorway, with another young woman nearing the end of a pregnancy. Cole's forehead was all that gave away his cardassian heritage, but it was also covered with the same tattoo Chakotay himself, and as he had noticed, Taya also wore. His wife's forehead had a row of bumps down the center, and Chakotay was at once struck by how peculiar their child's forehead might come out and he couldn't help but laugh, which woke up Marie who had fallen asleep. Taya came to rescue the infant and Chakotay stood up and hugged her as he gave her daughter back to her. Then he made his way around the room and hugged everyone.
    They all stayed up late talking and filling him in on their lives. At some point B'lanna and some others had stopped in to say hello. Finally everyone left around 0300 hours. Then the two of them stayed up until 0800 hours so he could tell her the short version of his absence. He was just wrapping up his story when the door chimed. "Come in." Chakotay answered. Taya, Arianna, Cole, Naomi, and Owen all came in. Arianna started to Apologize, "I know that we are here a bit early...",but Chakotay cut her off. "Don't worry about it we have been talking all night and we were just about to call you....."

   That afternoon when Chakotay awoke he was confused for a minute, until he realized where he was, "Katherine's bed." he said out loud. He rolled onto his side to look at his wife, yes, finally his wife .
