This story was meant to be a prelude to my Gargoyles series.  It features Layne, as a human, named Jessondra Laine, in California.  Life is good.  She has a good job, a hot boyfriend, and lives in her house with her friends.  College is moving along, and everything seems normal, right?  Yeah, right.

If you came here from the Gargoyles Library, this will give you a little outlook into the past of my character.  The only hint that it takes place in the Gargoyles universe is the 'Xanatos tag', in which his company is mentioned.

If you came here from the Original Works Library, you don't need to read my Gargoyles work to enjoy this story.
