Tracy studied fine arts at Pellissippi State in Knoxville, TN earning the "Outstanding Graduate Student in Fine Arts" award in 1999. She continued studying at East Tennessee State University changing her focus to computer generated art and web design. There she earned her bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Art and a second minor in Engineering Design Graphics Technology. After ETSU, Tracy moved on to University of Tennessee to earn her Masters of Philosophy, with a concentration in Comparative Religions, all the while doing computer generated art and design on the side. She is also a poet, amateur genealogist and a mother.
