Physical Description: Shannah is an interesting character. She is tall for a woman, standing about 5'7" and she prefers to wear heeled boots. Shannah's hair is long wavy and is rich shade of Red. She loves to play with her hair and form braids to layers, she's tried it all. Currently, her hair is long with a few braids in various places, with gold bands going down either side of her face. That way she feels that her gold bands match the color of her gold wher.

Her eyes are a deep green color almost the color emeralds. Shannah's eyes are round with an air of innocence and charisma. Shannah's skin is a bright golden brown that turns to a darker golden tan when it is exposed to much sun. Her skin is unblemished and clear with no freckles. She has a small scar that starts on the back of her left hand and runs slightly up on to her fore arm from an accident with her mother's wher when she was a child. Besides the one scar her skin is free of scars or any other marks on it. She has a small cute button shaped nose with dramatically arched eyebrows. She has prominent cheekbones and dimples. The only time one is able to see her dimples is when she is smiling, which seems to be a constant thing for Shannah. Her forehead is broad and her chin is a bit to the narrow side.

Her frame is not lacking in cleavage she, also has a pair of legs to die for and nice rounded hips. Her smile is warm and friendly, but for the most part, she has a tender but serious look on her face as if she was in deep thought. For all her size, Shannah gives the appearance of grace when she moves. Her movements are quick, precise and fluid. She has always been that way. Her voice is quiet and soft. She loves to sing and does have a wonderful singing voice, she sings to her wher all the time.

She likes to wear long skirts as much as she can. However, she also wears shorts when she has to do serious work. She usually always wears jewelry. She was given a ring by her older brother before he impressed a brown hatchling. She uses her looks to express her personality and individuality.

Emotional Description: Shannah is a very down to earth person. She'd much rather take a walk along the local beach or explore some nearby woods than attend the upcoming Gather. She mostly keeps to herself and her wher. She has a tight emotional bond with her brother Talon. The two were close as children, but when Talon impressed Shannah was jealous of her brother. However, she decided that impressing a dragon and flying against thread was not for her. She hates confrontation or fighting and will avoid it. However, being a more logical person, she'd much rather think out a plan to rid herself of the pest. Shannah is more of a pacifist than a fighter this is probably why she ran away from the Weyr when her brother and cousin impressed browns.

She's necessarily smart however she does seem to pick up difficult concepts quickly. She would rather try to help people who don't pick up on things as quickly as she does. She is a born leader and a teacher at heart that is why when she ran from the weyr she went to the harpers for training. She is a very patient and caring. Shannah has a problem saying no to someone for something. Because of this problem she tends to get abused, not in the physical sense but in the emotional sense. This has causes quite a few problems emotionally for Shannah. She has developed a slight self-confidence problem; she has been questioning herself as of late.

Her soft voice often makes it difficult for her to carry out and execute orders. So, as a leader, she's good at thinking up plans, but has a hard time executing them. Her work ethic is pretty strict and she demands the best from herself. She's a bit uptight but when she does unwind, she has a great sense of humor and a friendly personality. She doesn't really like being the center of attention and would much rather be a follower than a leader.

Brief History: Shannah was born the third oldest of five children. She is used to being caste aside while others gloat in the center of their parents' attention. When she was 3 her parents up rooted their family and began to live in a caravan. She began to like living with the caravan as her older brother Talon took care of her, and watched out for her.

Shannah took it quite personally when Talon was searched. Her mother and father then put the responsibility of watching her younger siblings. This made her feel like she was being punished for Talon leaving. She revolted against her parents and ran away from the caravan life and rand to the Harper hall. She was at the Harper hall for about three turns. Then one of the Journeymen that was at the hall tricked her into getting drunk and then raped her. Because of this incident she ran away again.

Shannah then found her self at a miner craft hall. At this time in her life she was 12 turns old. She found her niche as a miner. She really enjoyed doing miner work. She continued to study and received her Journeyman status. She was then assigned to Three Falls Hold. It was here that the Lord Holder sent Shannah to a wher hatching. This is where Shannah impressed her golden Shansk. Shansk filled the empty place in her heart that had formed from a life filled with traumas.

Once her wher became 2 turns old the Lord holder at Three Falls Hold and the Master Miner there approached Shannah and asked her if she would be willing to work the over night shift with her wher. She was told by the master miner that in the North wher's are used to help seek out pockets of dangerous gasses and are even capable of searching out good veins of ore. After quite a bit of convincing Shannah agreed to work the night shift with her wher.

Strengths- Very fast learner, capable of multi-tasking. She is a good planner and prioritizer.
Weaknesses-Emotional distresses, she runs away from anything and every thing that posses an emotional challange to her.

Wher: Shansk - Gold - 2.5 turns

Shansk is a dark antique gold color. She will be about six to seven feet long and about nine to ten hands high when fully grown. Shansk at the age of 2 turns old she weighs in at around 600 pounds. Shansk is well built she has been able to Shannah for short distances of two to three feet for Shannah does not want to risk over taxing her wher. She has a small scar which runs along the lower right side of her rear leg. As a hatchling she scratched herself when she had gotten caught in some bushes. Her eyes are very large and extremely expressive. Most people should be able to tell what she is feeling by looking into her eyes and her expressive mental images.

Shansk doesn't realize that she is supposed to be pushy, or domineering. She doesn't mind flits. She has never attacked a flit. One could say that Shansk like her handler are definitely not normal. Shansk has been blooded to only Shannah, however she recognizes the Lord Holder, Jorian, the master miner, the holds' steward and a few other people that her handler has frequent contact with.

Shansk has not yet mated because her handler is afraid to let her mate. Shannah believes that if Shansk mates she will change. At the present Shansk dotes on Shannah, but if she mates she will change.
