Physical Description: Daevik is a wiry boy of about 5�6� and weighs in at a mere 130 lbs. Dark blond locks frame his face, the longest strands never going past his chin. He has light green eyes and an even tan, making for an odd combination. His facial features are still very boyish (although his attitude is far from it). His limbs are long and willowy, and the only reason they don�t look misplaced on Daevik is because he�s still young and has yet to fully grow into a more masculine figure (though some wonder if he _ever_ will).

Emotional Description: Daevik is not someone who has a lot of friends. His Bloodline and intelligence gives him more confidence than he should have, and is ever the definition of arrogance if there ever was one. Usually quite flippant in conversation, Daevik is easily bored by others and will often leave in the middle of a conversation if he does not wish to continue it, regardless of what the other person(s) is saying. Other than himself, the only other people he regards with respect are masters, Lord Holders, Weyrleaders (including Wingleaders) and other similar ranking figures. He doesn�t take particular pleasure in people�s reactions to his brazen disposition; rather he just doesn�t care.

Daevik has something of an obsessive-compulsive nature, and his fear of germs is quite well known. He�ll wash his hands several times until they�re red, and always wears a pair of slim-fitting gloves in any condition. He�ll often remark on the lack of cleanliness and direction of things, and unfortunately, has not yet been taught the art of tact. Order and discipline is a must in his life, and Daevik goes to the extremes with this. He may, for example, clean the whole table he sat at in the Dining Hall before leaving, or will openly scorn and chide those who disregard higher authorities, even if they themselves outrank him (rather ironic, really).

Those who can tolerate Daevik are probably some of the most patient on Pern; to be able to put up with his narcissistic and germophobic personality is a rare gift. Daevik himself doesn�t quite understand his few friends, either, and will openly ask them why they are his friends in the first place.

Brief History: Daevik was born at a minor Hold in the Kalarak Weyr area, son of the Lord and Lady who ran it, and the fifth oldest of twelve children. Having two strong and capable brothers born before him, Daevik was never expected to take up the burden of running Hold responsibilities, and so was given a choice of how he wished to live his life. When he was old enough, he apprenticed under the local journeyman healer, and advanced easily enough through the three turns. As a senior apprentice, he came to the Healer Hall at High Cliff Hold to study under a master, but was Searched before really getting any further and thus, has been brought to the Weyr.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaknesses: Ability: He's actually pretty good with throwing knives.
Strengths: Daevik excels in suturing lacerations and threadscores (steady hands, you know) and might've had a place in weaving had he found it interesting. He's also someone you can depend on to do what is right (even if doing what's right isn't the right thing...)
Weaknesses: Daevik as no patience. In his craft, this makes it harder for him to make salves. In any other aspect, it makes him rude and tactless with his words. His obssessively clean nature also makes it hard for him to travel in comfort.

Pets: Nuisance -Feline, 4 turns; Nuisance is fairly large for what she is, standing at roughly 1'4". she's and orange-striped tiger feline and has a splotch of white on her chest and two of her paws. Through some unusual means, Nuisance was born with an extra claw on her front feet that look very close to opposable thumbs (imagine putting all four fingers on a flat surface and using your thumb to balance them in the back and you've kind of got it). She is also home to many little parasites, which is probably one of the main reasons Daevik abhors the feline. Emotional Description: Nuisance is exactly what her name implies - a nuisance, at least to Daevik. In reality, Nuisance is very obedient, and she loves getting attention...she just happened to pick the wrong person to follow around
