Physical Description: Cael is already tall for his age at 6'2" and has yet to stop growing, with broad shoulders tapering down to narrow hips and long, muscular legs. Cael is well muscled, but has more of a leaner, wiry build than a bodybuilder type. The red highlights in his dark auburn hair are only seen in the brightest of sunlight and it can often be mistaken for a very dark brown, almost black. His hair reaches to about the nape of his neck and the longer bangs often fall in his eyes.His eyes are an interesting gray-green and a bit startling in his lightly tanned tanned face.Hard angles and planes form a face that is more rugged than truly handsome. His hands are large and long-fingered, rough from many candlemarks in the hold smithy.

Cael tends to wear tunics belted at the waist and breeches with sturdy boots that serve him well in the smithy. He wears very little jewelry, though his left ear is pierced twice and a small intricately braided silver charm hung on a leather thong hangs around his neck. A navy, black and maroon tattoo of a dragon covers his right shoulder, extending down as far as his elbow and up to the side of his neck.(This can be taken off if tattoos are not allowed at Victory, I wasn't sure since DMWh allows them) Cael has a low baritone voice and is often caught humming or singing to himself though rarely to others.

Emotional Description: Cael is not an overly loud person. He's not truly antisocial, but more of a loner by choice. He likes his solitude and can often be found wandering by himself, thinking or playing some instrument. When with people, he can summon up some charm and be friendly, but prefers to have a few, select friends rather than a large group of them. He is generally optimistic and encouraging, but only shows it if forced to begin a conversation. Cael is not a real talkative person, he prefers silence to babbling anyday. He can be curt and rude if he's in one of his moods and just wants to be alone for a while. He doesn't have too much of a temper, but once he's onto something, he digs his teeth in and rarely gives up until he figures it out. He can be ruthless in his pursuit of something, though not cruel. He has an innate respect for children and women pounded into him during childhood and would never strike either in anger. Cael is confident in who he is and nothing or no one will ever change that, it's easy to see in the way he moves and acts. He loves music, especially, as well as dragons and can often be heard humming a tune of some kind.

Brief History: Cael was born at Kalarak Weyr, the second of seven children born to a journeyman harper and his healer wife. Shortly after Cael was born, his father accepted a post in a trader caravan and his wife followed, more or less breaking off from her craft to take care of Cael and his siblings. Growing up with four brothers and two sisters is bound to make a man appreciate his solitude and Cael could often be found off wandering, scaring his mother to death when he disappeared for hours at a time, while his more rambunctious brothers were off causing trouble for the caravan as a whole.

Sadly, when he was three, his father was killed when there was a stampede with the herdbeasts. His mother took care of them with the help of Cael and his older brother, Araten. The extended family, three aunts and uncles on his father's side and four pairs of aunts and uncles on his mothers as well as dozens of cousins all helped, some going as far as transferring to the trader caravan.

Then, when Cael was 12, his mother remarried another trader and he gained not only a step-father but also three more siblings. One of those was a step-brother, Aedan, whom Cael grew extremely close to. Along with a group of five others, three cousins and two brothers, they constantly got into mischief, dragging a reluctant Cael into things. The family, with several groups of rowdy, mischievious boys, became the bane of the caravan's life until finally Artan and Mayre, Cael's mother, forced the boys old enough to choose a craft.

Cael had always loved music from the time he was small, but his love of the smithy was a greater pull and he decided, after much deliberation, to become a smith while Aedan chose to become a healer. Though they split up to go to their respective crafthalls, Aedan and Cael kept in touch with the flitters they were gifted with on their birthdays, which were close in date. Cael did well at the smithy and walked the tables shortly before being Searched. Though he has failed to Impress the past couple times, he and Aedan, who has joined him, have hopes to Impress with the next clutch. Neither want to give up just yet.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaknesses: Cael has a strong, low baritone as well as being decently trained by his mother in several different instruments including the drums, flute and voice. He is talented as a smith, focusing mostly on weapons as well as having some expertise with jewelry.

Strength/Weaknesses: Cael is strong in weapons, basically any kind as well as being decent at making jewelry on the side when weapons don't earn him enough marks. He has the patience for teaching apprentices but not the desire to and isn't particularly strong in making everyday things, they bore him. He also is weak in the glass working. He's not as good working with gold as he is other materials and only knows the basics about setting jewels and the everyday materials. He's not stupid but prefers not to be included in the inventions section of the large craft.

Physical Description: Alorath is a dark chocolate brown color with lighter splotches all over his body. He has lighter color on her belly and wingsails.

Emotional Description: Alorath is more outgoing, willing to meet new people/dragons. He loves music like his rider. He's very patient and down to pern. More often then not you can see him talking to the older dragons because he thinks he's as smart as them.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaknesses: With his longer wingspan, he does very good with gliding and turning on the tip of his wing. His weakness is he tries to push his rider too hard sometimes.
