                                        Music: Smooth, by Carlos Santana

The first part (intro) is:
There are 4 segments where the brass comes in and plays a  rhythm consisting of 7 notes. The dance will directly follow those  notes, so you need to listen to it enough that you're familiar with  it. It's easy, though, because you'll know exactly when to move;  the music clearly tells you. All we're going to do it take a direct
path down the body. When the music starts, before the first  group of brass notes, lift your arms over your head, palms facing  out, backs of the wrists almost touching, fingers as if you're  holding zills with a relationship between the middle finger and the
thumb. When the first group of brass notes sounds. you'll do 5 head  slides starting to the right, echoing the brass notes. (They do 7,  but they go so fast that matching note to note would look rushed  and sloppy.) Then do 3 wrist floreos as you bring your arms down
and out to the sides. When the next set of brass notes sounds  you do 5 shoulder shimmies, starting on the right. Three more  wrist floreos as your hands come down to your hips, and on the  next set of brass notes, do 4 rib pops up and to the right, up and  to the left, up and to the right, up and to the left, and then a definitive rest to the center for the last movement. Bring your hands up and out in front of you, then open them with a wrist floreo to the sides again, and on the last grouping of brass
notes, do 6 hip pivots - up down front, up down back, up, down
front, and up center.

Cross the right foot over the left as your right hand comes up
over the left side of your hairline, and you unwind your body in a
slow turn as your hand traces an imaginary side part in you hair
back to the back, then sweeps across your face right to left, then
out to one side slowly. This turn will start before the lyrics, and
continue through "Man it's a hot one" so that you end facing front
again at the end of the line.

Step out with your right foot, cross your left behind it into a lunge.
As you cross and step back, your hands should come down in
front, then scoop with crossed wrists in front of you and open out to the sides in a presentation gesture as soon as the arms open to the sides begin a shoulder shimmy. As you shimmy, lean your body slightly
backwards, and then straighten up agian. This should be in time
with Like seven inches from the midday sun. Straighten still
doing the shoulder shimmy and step out with your left foot,
crossing the right behind it in a lunge and repeating the lean back
and straightening with the shoulder shimmy. This movement
should take you through the lyrics I hear you whispering

On the words that melt everyone, but you stay so cool you do 4
maya facing front, then 2 pelvic rolls. On the second pelvic roll,
pivot to the back and do 4 more maya and 2 more pelvic rolls.

On my munequita, my spanish harlem mona lisa youll do 4 side
arms with a face caress, while facing the back. The right arm
comes up and over the head, and as you look to the right, the
hand comes down along the left side of your face, palm facing
away from you once it comes down to your chin, it gently
flowers out to the right. Repeat the gesture on the left side,
with the left arm coming up overhead, down on the right side of
the face with your head turned to the left, and then out. Repeat
once more on the right and once more on the left.

On youre my reason for reason youll do four slow camels,
with your arms up over your head, turning slowly so that by the
fourth one youre facing front again.

On The step in my groove youll do 4 down hips with a pivot,
arms out to the side in basic position. The first will be front, the
second straight down in the middle, the third will be back, and
the fourth will be to the front again. Repeat on the left side.
