How many times have you had a problem with
your not always so trusty Volkswagen and not had a repair manual
that told you in plain English how to properly fix it in simple
easy to understand steps that anyone could understand? In the coming
weeks we will be adding extensive, easy to follow procedures for
fixing your VW Beetles, Type II's and Type III's. Most of these
write-ups will be written by a professional automotive mechanic,
Kevin Miller.
Kevin has been working on air-cooled and water-cooled Volkswagens
for the past 15years. He is currently working as a mechanic in a
Ford dealership. As time goes on, he will be adding articles on
more and more complicated procedures. The initial articles will
be on items such as carburetor repair, wiring troubles, etc. Keep
checking back for new articles.
Now active, VW breakdown support hotline. Anyone can sign up as
SPEAKERS
to give repair advice, all of which will get PAID for their time,
per minute (you set your own rate). The idea here is that a person
that is in the process of working on his VW and gets stumped on
a problem or can't figure out how to do something, he just picks
up the phone and talks to a person who has more experience working
on VW's than he. Then the speaker can talk the person through the
particular problem as you are working on the car. You can hang up
when you figure out what to do, then call back later if you need
more help. This will prove to be much cheaper than taking your VW
into a repair shop, especially since most shops don't know how to
work on air-cooled VW's, or at least don't do a good job at it.
If
you are interested please click here to sign up to be a speaker
or click here access the computer that will connect your phone to
the VW specialist of your choice. You click on the person
that you want to speak to, then hang up. The computer will then
call you up and ask you if you would like to be connected to the
person that you selected(all phone numbers are kept hidden and secure,
they will not know your phone number and you will not know theirs).
You will be told how much the call will cost before you are connected.
In addition, you will be given a free $5 credit to spend on getting
tech help when you sign up as a member. That way, you can test the
waters in a sense, without taking a risk.
