With the Silver Anniversary of the Org sa mga Bisayang Kusgan fast approaching, the resident and alumni members have joined forces to organize a Grand Celebration which will be nationwide in scope and centered in UP Los Baños, the place where the seeds of the organization were first planted.

Preparations are well underway. Joint Resident-Alumni committees and an over-all committee has been formed to spearhead this huge activity.

The primary aim for now is to reach out to all bonafide UPLB KAIBAN members, and invite them to the Grand Alumni Homecoming this year at Los Baños, Laguna.

PLANS FOR THE SILVER ANNIVERSARY

1.) Souvenir Program

The souvenir program will include the  chronologically arranged formation of the UPLB KAIBAN including the names of the members per year, their batchname, venue of finals, the Kaiban Officers and its activity per semester etc. until present. This will be also be useful not only for the members, but also to the applicant.

We will include the Preamble, the Constitution and By-Laws, the seal defined and illlustrated, messages from the UP President, UPLB Chancellor, Advisers, Mayor, congressman etc.

The souvenir program shall also contain feature articles concerning the Bisaya dialect, our Bisaya lineage, official tambayan and handshake, Reminisces from alumni members.

2.) Souvenir Items

There will be a production of polo shirts or chalecos, posters for the 25th Silver Anniversary celebration, tarpaulins, streamers, etc. The UPLB KAIBAN ID will be produced once more. There will also be audio-visual presentation concerning our beloved organization. Stickers and Rings are also planned to be made.

3.) Anniversary Month/Week

There will be a series of activities by the resident members in commemoration of the silver anniversary of the organization, such as charity works, the traditional Pakusganay, and the popular Kasadya Celebration.

4.) Grand Alumni Homecoming

The homecoming shall be in Los Baños, Laguna. It shall be done in the formal way and in the traditional KAIBAN BISAYANG KUSGAN way. A formal program followed by bonding activities such as games, fellowship, dinner, videoke, drinking till dawn. Alumni are assured of a place to stay for a few days, with all fees included in the registration.
