So - we're off ... let the shopping extravaganza begin. Send lists of dreams and wants ASAP or just be surprised - I'm all for the surprise!!
Ok just a thought, just putting it out there for the next drawing ... to get a larger pool of names and since the cousins are getting older, what if we mix everybody together? Not single out the sibs and cousins. Mix all names in one hat. The only rule would be same family can't buy for eachother (i.e., Andre for Keith, or Artie for Hunter, or Noel for Maile) etc. We have all year to ponder ...

Noel's comments: First I'd like to thank Tanya (and Family) for drawing the names for our 2008 Secret Santa list. To address Tanya's suggestion about combining lists - I personally don't like the idea and here's why. First, because the adults always spend much more money on each other than the kids (kids have a $ limit) ... and second - let's face it - as adults we are pretty much footing the bill for all the kids gifts. I know we have never really set a $ min/max for adults but I think everyone does a good job getting some nice gifts - so go for it! After all, why not, it's better to splurge on ONE person than have to buy for everyone!! I say NO to the mixing of lists ... the parents will just get stuck paying for it.
However you feel about the proposal - consider it well - and we'll do a family poll late Summer early Fall to see what everyone thinks.
