Dukedom Ruler: Duke Wilhelm the Heretic Government Type: Dukedom

Currently: It has now been 100 years since the coming of the Nameless Judge. What little can be said of him is that he is most likely more powerful then any of the Demon Kings but not quite on the level of the gods. He sits in an enormous tower overlooking the city of Ostenmarch. Where he came from none know, but his powers are undeniable. His will spreads out from the tower and touches every part of the Dukedom. Only a mage of strong will, can cast a spell in Ostemarch (Soul check at +2 to cast spells). In fact, mages are considered abominations within the dukedom. Any follower of magic are put on trial at the tower and then put to death. Also once a month, people with disputes come to the tower to have their case judged by their god. Priest of the Nameless Judge tends to be fanatics and the soldiers of Ostenmarch takes their oaths upon the tower. Needless to say, the soldiers of Ostemarch are amongst the most honest in the world. The current Duke is fanatic worshipper of the Nameless judge and is working with High Priest Alfred to spread the worship of their god. The people of Ostenmarch are dour but honest people. Trade is good in Ostenmarch with fishing and lumber being their two main commodities. Ostenmarch is quiet, stable and peaceful land. It is a good place to visit as long as you don't run afoul of their god.
