Currently: Norhaven is indeed a strange place. Most visitors to this land consider the people here peculiar. In fact the people of Norhaven seems to speak in rhymes and give cryptic answers to questions that are asked of them. This is all credited to the Curse of Norhaven. A curse that goes back 600 odd years and involves the murder of a priestess of Agor by the prince of the Norhaven. The priestess came back from the grave to lay the curse upon the land. Beside the strangeness of the people , the curse can be seen in the thorny vine weed that covers the land. Farmers and herders are constantly battling this growth.
The family is cursed with uncontrolled shape-shifting. This ranges from turning into animals, the opposite sex and dramatic shifts in age. Also the tigger that causes the change is highly varied. While one member of the family is ruled by the phase of the moon, another might be influenced by the rising and setting of the sun. Not every child is born with the curse, but enough are for most to remember that curse exists. Rumour has it though that certain members of the family have actually gain control over the curse and has turned it into a blessing. |
