Contributions and Donations to the Red Kaganate Association
Introduction Making Financial Contributions Donation of Goods and Services
Please NOTE -
There are currently NO Membership dues for belonging to the Red Kaganate Association. All Contributions and Donations are voluntary and in no way related to status with the Association.

Online Financial Contribution
See full details regarding your contribution here.

A "Thank You" Web Page will be created as Contributions and Donations begin to come in.
We are also happy to discuss sponsorship possibilities.

With respect to tax consequences of your Contribution -
At the present time, the Red Kaganate is NOT registered as a "not for profit" organization!
One of the first things we are collecting for is the fees necessary for incorporation and registration as a not for profit (see details on making Financial Contributions below).
However, you should still consult a tax professional - it may be that some amount of donation to a non-registered entity is deductible (we do NOT know and are NOT making any representation in this regard!).

At the present, financial contributions will go into a non-interest bearing Escrow account (IOLA) maintained by an Escrow Agent. When there are enough funds, they will be transferred to a dedicated, interest bearing account. The Escrow Agent will make decisions about the use and distribution of funds.

Financial Contributions, as well as Donations of relevant Goods and Services (as described below) are welcome.

To Make a Financial Contribution

You can make earmarked contributions or general ones as described further below.
Contributions may be made by Mail or Online through PayPal.
Online -
Just click the PayPal button above and complete the interactive menus. There should be a line which you can use to earmark the Contribution. Use the same earmark notes as described below. PayPal may charge a small fee for transaction processing.
By Mail -
Contact the Web Editor - [email protected] for address of Escrow Agent.
All checks must be made out to Norman Finkelshteyn as Attorney and be clearly marked as for the Red Kaganate in the Memo section of the check as follows:
General Contributions must be simply marked Red Kaganate.
Earmarked Contributions -
There are currently three specific projects in need of money
(a) incorporation and registration as a not for profit mark the check Red Kaganate Incorporation
(b) a full service, paid-for Web Space mark the check Red Kaganate Web Space
(c) purchase of equipment for Turkic Martial Arts research (ie: sabres and defensive armour) mark the check Red Kaganate MA Equip

Additionally, while the Editor is a volunteer, he would appreciate tips for which you can mark the check Red Kaganate Editor payment. The Editor will NEVER be paid from the general pool.

Once a project has sufficient funds, earmarked money will be put into the general pool and used as necessary (Web Space funding will likely be an ongoing expense).
If checks are not marked as directed, they may not get credited to the Red Kaganate (for example a check omitting as Attorney will be treated as a personal gift to the volunteer acting as Escrow Agent).
