: Well, this was our reward for the cancelled concert in October - a free concert just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. I think we made a lot of fans tonight! Brought Sunflower and her friend Maureen to the show with Karen after touring Historic Philadelphia in the 104-degree heat index this morning. But you can't leave Philly without having seen the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. And anyway, Sunflower treated me to my first Margarita - yum! : We got to the venue fairly early - about 5:45 for a 7:45 PM show, but we brought our picnic dinner with us - Philadelphia hoagies and sodas. We were not the only ones to do this as there were about 4 other "families" picnicking on the bleachers before the show. I think we filled the venue - about 1,000 people. Tony came over and asked if one of us wanted to do the Merchandise table, so Carol and Karen volunteered. I gave out "Bounce Back:" cards as people filed in. It was fun! I had a couple people ask if I was with the band. One guy wanted to book them for something so I sent him in Tony's direction. One lady introduced her granddaughter to me because I knew all the names of the band members. Said 3 year old loves Run Runaway it seems! Grandmom was from Gander, NFLD. and asked me to sit with her and tell her what I enjoyed there last year. A couple others asked me questions about if they were nice. Of course I said yes! LOL! We saw Mary2U, Fran and Carol, Chris from Philly, Howard and Cheryl, Sunflower and Maureen, Katy Mae and some people whose faces I recognized but the names escape me. : Jeff Lang from Australia opened fro GBS. He was a great guitarist! Started his set with a dulcimer song that was really slow, but the tempo picked up, thank goodness! Many people there enjoyed his set and bought CDs. He even had an encore. : The b'ys started a little late. The venue was outside in a residential neighborhood. And I do believe there is a noise ordinance after 9 PM so they had to stop then.

Clothes - Alan's flowered shirt appeared again with black baggy pants, Darrell was yummy in a Gray button-down shirt with black pants; Sean had yesterday's black shirt, which looked like it had been washed, and blue jeans, and Bob - - - NOT A FLAMING BOWLING SHIRT! It was nice two-toned blue with a red stripe across the yoke. It was nice, very nice! (
: The short set was: : Donkey Ridin' - About 4 people got up to dance and then sat down. I was trying to figure out if people could see if we stood up because the stage was not very far off the ground. I was not a dancer here. : When I'm Up : Everything Shines - Alan liked the venue, I think. It was a dell in the woods, the stage about 2 1/2 feet above the sandy woods floor. "Do you know how many places we play that look a lot worse than this? A round of applause for the environment!" The b'ys were already in quite a sweat here - it was really hot and extremely humid. : Goin Up - "Wakin' up the neighborhood! GBS in Haddon Heights New Jersey, in the lovely Park!" - People started to come down and dance here. And then sat down in the sand for Boston and St. John's. : Boston and St. John's : The Night Pat Murphy Died - Sean: "a song about ironic detachment, It's about a dear friend who passed away and you're happy that he's gone." More people came down to dance and after that, people pretty much were up. : Sea of No Cares - I like the three part coming-in-at-different-times harmony. And I miss hearing the other new song - Own True Way.
