| : Old Black Rum - Bob sang real low! Had a good time as usual! Pictures here were hard to take due to the amount of dust raised from the dancing going on in front. Even the b'ys had to step back and they all got water here. : General Taylor - this was the nicest version of General Taylor I've heard in a long time. Darrell's bass vocal just curled your toes. Sean was right on with notes and Alan and Bob just sang their harmonies beautifully! : Lukey - There were a bunch of little kids hanging up on the stage steps in front of Alan and Sean. I thought Alan was going to start playing with them any minute, but then the security guard came over and got them to get down. : Consequence Free - Commented about how warm it was at the dell and that theme continued for the next song. : I'm a Rover - Sean: "God, it's warm! No- it's HOT! This is a song about hot women - hot women with windows, and I don't mean Microsoft! This is a family show so that's as far as I'm gonna go about that. I don't suppose you have the kind that open late at night for some musicians from Newfoundland who knock at your door. We're hot!" : Jack Hinks - Even though Danny had cleared off Bob's accordion shelf to sit on, he came down the steps right in front of me and sat at the edge of the stage! : Mari Mac - There were these little kids running back and forth across the front of the stage. San stopped as he was explaining about the two-part song. He says to the little fellow there in front of him. "Want to sing along? Your part is - then in a very slow, enunciated manner even the 2 year old could understand, he said "My..mother's...making...me ...(and the rest of the audience yelled) MARRY MARI MAC. Alan and Sean were quite pleased by the response. "Hey! That was pretty good!" Then they went right into it. : Ordinary Day - Alan had the audience take the chorus once. : Encore: : Excursion - by the end of the evening EVERYONE was up dancing and singing and raising fists in the air and Bob remembered to sing the harmony this evening. : End of the World - was looking for Tunes here but we got EOTW and all the b'ys playing with energy from I don't know where! They had to have been exhausted from the heat by this point! |

| : Karen said GBS made a lot of new fans tonight. Sold a slew of Road Rage CDs. She's a good salesperson and had fun recommending things for people to buy. She's had plenty of practice with Heather's Band Boosters routine selling chances at the football games. I got a new T-shirt with the new logo - It's the same as the one on the zipper pull. I got some great pics but they'll have to wait for later to be posted. I need SOME sleep tonight! Two late nights in a row with a third for certain tomorrow. |
