At left, is the tri-power setup that my Dad used to run in it. Power is courtesy of a 383 stroker with 350 tranny. Positrac 3:31 rear end.
At right, the full frontal view. Eventually the roof began to rust pretty badly underneath the vinyl, so I am in the process of converting it to a smooth, hard top. This is also before the unfortunate incident in which a falling tree severely damaged the driver side fender and hood. Oh, to turn back the clock....

The 1970 comes with a rounded headlight bezel and round turn signal mounted in the bumper. Note the fine grill pattern.
How to tell them apart...below left to right: 1970, 1971, 1972
The 1971 has a squared headlight bezel with a rectangular, bumper mounted turn signal. The grill pattern has mostly horizontal lines, fewer vertical than the '70.
In 1972, the blinker moved up between the grill and headlight, leaving a smooth bumper. Like the '71, the headlight bezel is squared..

Me, Dad, and the Monte...2003. The fine state of the engine, suspension & interior are to his credit.
