I
probably still have holiday hangover. I hardly took a break from work
(another one of those times I’m on call for projects that seem to be
inherently stressful) and have been meeting family and friends almost
every other evening.

The
past few weeks have been stressful yet fulfilling. Aside from family,
I’ve also been with friends, those who have flown in for the holidays
and those who are here but I haven’t seen for a long time.

It’s
my birthday. How is it to be 30? It feels like I have to be more
responsible both in my personal and professional life. Although I don’t
feel three decades old, there are things that can’t be denied. When I
look at my mother, my uncles and aunties, they look older. Most of them
are retired, an uncle has gone ahead into the next life, two are cancer
patients, while others can’t eat what they please as much as they used
to. These are signs that their generation is slowly passing on their
responsibilities to us.
