Blue Tiger

Rearing butterflies is one of the best ways to get some great photographs alongwith getting to know more about the fascinating life cycles of these beautiful creatures.

This shot was taken after a blue tiger butterfly i had reared emerged from its pupal stage, and after its wings dried and stiffened up.

In this condition, the butterfly cannot move ( its wings are not string enough for that ), and thus is extremely easy to photograph.

Camera : Minolta X300 ( Film )

Lens : Cosina 70 - 300 mm with diopters
