26th Sep '02 : Found a coppersmith's ( crimsonbreasted barbet ) nest, in a small hollow of a tree. When I tried to go closer, the bird sat in the opening with its head outside and remaining body inside. I could see it clearly from a dist of 6 feet ! Just dying to photograph the fellow in it now.
27th Sep '02 : Found 3-4 pairs of spotted owlets at dusk. Also found a owl nest on a light pole. Will investigate it as soon as possible.......
18th Feb '03 : A juvenile blossomheaded parakeet ( seen first time on the tekdi by me ) was having a pretty rough time in the windy conditions. Twice it flew within inches of me, and once it hit my palm. I tried to somehow catch it, however it didn't seem to agree with me, and in the end, it flew off, screeching piteously with 2 crows in hot pursuit of an easy meal. It later crashed on the slopes, and by the time I reached the approx place, there were no signs of either of them.
