upon further review....

good thing we have instant replay in the SL!!!!! a set schedule wont work, what with dave coming into town occasionally, and steve should only have to travel north every other week instead of every week. so if we all just TRY to play one series a week for the first 2 months, that should be fine. but lets try and actually do it this time. Illinois residents-try to have played either greg or graham once in feb., and the other in march. that should be all you need for online games for those 2 months. i think the advantage of a message board vs. regular email, is that the emails sometimes can get lost, or something, but the board is there for everyone to see for the whole year or whatever. plus i think a lot of the online games will be weeknite games, while a lot of the face-to-face will be weekend. lets keep talking up the whole thing, as we still have some time until the season starts.

as we finish...

lets talk about a few things that i have thought of, and have heard over the past few weeks.

1) free agent moves before the season starts. the person who told me this may have been kidding, but are there any thoughts about it?

2)having like a kickoff classic like the college football season. the first series f the season could be a me vs. greg series matchup or keith (presidents cup) vs. dave (new guy). or any other suggestions. tradition has to begin sometime.

3)follow a set schedule for the first 40. by this i mean you will be appointed someone to play within the next 7 days. this will go on for 9 weeks (no pressure) of which you will play 8 times (x5). thus we will be at the 3F mark by april 1 (3F= forty game, free agent, freeforall).

4)get a message board on our website (or elsewhere) where you can say, i am playing steve tonite, therefore, no one else can play.

lets consider these items, and talk about them over the next few days, or week or so

RE: 27th Round Order

>
> i have to admit, i am pretty lost at this point.

we re-draw for the 27th round. since there is an uneven number of rounds, it is considered unfair, and advantage to those who get early picks. but now that we redraw for the 27th round, the draft is 100% fair and i had absolutely no advantage when i got pedro with the first pick.

27th Round Order

Greg and I, using a random number generator, have determined the order of selection for the 27th round.

1. keith
2. steve
3. graham
4. greg
5. dave
6. keith (acquired in trade from joe)
7. chris (from bob)
8. steve (from chris)
9. ken

Private Notes - Spit Cup Acceptance speech.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Keith Klein, who put personal feelings aside and set me up with a 2 computers and 200 free minutes of AOL. With his help, I was able research the draft, win the cup, and visit some pretty cool porn sites.

Thanks Keith, for all your help. I apologize for all the stupid emails you received from during Cuba's road to the championship.

RE: this weekend

i have approval to draft sunday night provided none of the guests at justin's birthday party are still there. because chris plans on being home by 7, i expect things will start to break up before then, but then again (people may be there) until midnight. i imagine i could break away to spend two minutes on the phone if people are still there, but i won't be online until after the guests leave.

so count me in.

are we all going to be online? steve at someone's house? is the e-machine set up, bob?

RE: this weekend

ok, that works for me and graham.

so the confirmations are:

chris, dave, steve, graham, greg

keith, joe, bob, ken, we need an approval or a decline, or a "i need to find something out first"
