Welcome To The Gallery! I hope you enjoy your visit! If you are new to watercolors, I hope you will discover a new appreciation for it's light filled transparent capabilities Painting in water colours is a most challenging medium. In many ways it can be fast and free, but requires multiple layers which requires drying time and patience.... lots of patience! The Watercolor Society of the Desert was my first showing and how exciting it was for me to take a 2nd place ribbon at my first show. Primarily I paint head study portraits for the proud owners of their beloved Shar-pei, whether cherished companions or Champion show dogs, this occupies most of my painting time. As a breeder-owner-handler of my own champion chinese shar-pei, most of my paintings are done of this fascinating breed who's faces are so unique. Each wrinkle pattern is very much like a fingerprint, with no two exactly alike. I hope you will enjoy browsing the artwork here.
