Family
I started out as an only child, but along the way I've gathered some wonderful extended family.  These include my husband, Craig, our own children, Ian and David, my adopted sister, Marcela Nava and her kids, Craig's family, and the wonderful exchange students we've been privileged to host over the years.  From time to time, as I find some of the wonderful pictures we have of these folks, I'll add them to the website.
My nieces...The occasion was David's graduation from the University of Oregon in August, 2000.  Here are Ian and David and all of their cousins:  L to R, Erika Nava, Stephanie Castle, Lety Nava, David, Ian and Gaby Nava.

My cousins... This was September, 2001, and our dog, Buffy, had spent the summer with my cousin Chuck Cooper, his wife, Nancy, and their dog, Jake.  It was time for Buffy to come home after her wonderful Ardenvoir "doggy summer camp" while we went sailing.  We all went for a hike and served as monitors for the "Plain 100" trail running race.  I have lots more cousins, but haven't found more pictures yet...
My parents...  I want to dig into some of my older photo archives and include here some photos of my parents (Francis and Ruth Lockwood) who passed away in 1997 and 1998.  In the meantime, here's a picture of Chelo Macias, who took care of them in their last years. The occasion was a memorial trip to Yosemite in 1999.
Craig's parents... Here are Rich and Elizabeth Johnston, in their kitchen in Lafayette, California.   I'm sorry to report that Elizabeth passed away on March 2, 2002.
Our sister-in-law, Marlene Johnston.
Craig's sister, Deborah Johnston, who is a cellist with the English National Opera, and avid backpacker.  Here, she's arriving in Kyuquot, B.C., on the M.V. Uchuck, ready to start a week on the boat with us (summer of 2001).
We have a variety of heights in our family -- here are Marcela, Gaby and Ian, all able to take pictures of David's graduation festivities without any stooping...  Here at the right are the tallest (David, 6'5") and shortest (Marcela, 4'9").
