Our exchange students...
Over the years, we've hosted a variety of exchange students, and they have become part of our extended family.   More recent visits are on the next page.
Joy Taveras, from the Dominican Republic, stayed with us for a few months in the spring and early summer of 2000.  Here he is ready to take Carla to the Senior Prom.  Joy and Carla were both AFS exchange students.  Joy is now a law student in the Dominican Republic.  See photos of a recent visit here.

Simon Jann of Altstatten, Switzerland, stayed with us for a few months in 1992.  Here he returned for a visit in 2000, bringing girlfriend Nicole.  Simon is working as an engineer in Switzerland.
Henrik Olsson, of Karlskrona, Sweden stayed with us in 1993-1994. While he was here, he met Tina Johns, and they are now together in Sweden, engaged to be married.  Henrik is working as an engineer in Sweden.  See photos of a recent visit here.
Yet to be added to this page -- Still looking for my best pictures of:

Juerg Buschor, of Altstatten, Switzerland, our first exchange student, who stayed with us in 1991-1992.  We haven't actually seen Juerg since we've owned a digital camera, and Juerg, if you're reading this, you'd better either come visit, or send us a picture!
Latest word is that Juerg and his girlfriend, Susanne, completed a six month bike trip from Finland to Turkey, returning home for Christmas by way of Italy.
Maryline Autiere-Eya, of Egletons, France, stayed with us in 1992-93.  In June, 2001, Maryline married Bernard Eya.  We couldn't be there, but she sent us great pictures!  Maryline is working as a German-French translator in Germany.
Cornelia ("Cori") Neunteufel, of Vienna, Austria, stayed with us in 1994-1995.  She's been back to visit several times, most recently in the summer of 2001 when she and her parents, Reinhard and Marta, joined us on the boat for a week.  Ian took this picture when the Neunteufels visited Seattle, just before the boat trip.  Cori is studying physics at the Vienna Technical University, and just completed a semester in Sweden.
