| Recent visits from former exchange students |

| Henrik Olsson (originally from Karlskrona, Sweden) and Tina Johns (originally from Portland, Oregon) visited in early January. Henrik met Tina when he stayed with us in 1994, and now they are planning to marry in May, 2003, in Gothenburg, Sweden. They visited us in January, 2003. |

| Joy Taveras, from the Dominican Republic, also visited us in January. We went for a short, cold but sunny sail on the Columbia River, and then to dinner at an Indian restaurant. Joy, who is a law student in Santo Domingo, says that he misses the diversity of foods available in the United States, but I don't think he misses the cold! Joy originally stayed with us in the spring and early summer of 2000. |
