WE'RE GOING TO SING
Sing about what?! Well, Ank will sing about AFRICA OUR ONE COUNTRY. What about? Criticisms? Remember it's easier to criticise than to build! Some of both; but our energies are better commited to solutions. This is a minefield. Watch your step. To openly criticize is to set yourself up for criticism and more. Yes, we're fully aware of the extend to which what we say makes us targets but instead of backing down in the face of the vast mazes of apparently complicated problems that hold us, we will sing. The universe sings. We all must.
What spurs all this? There's plenty to celebrate about Africa;and we'll be doing some of that. The real drive is however what must be done so that the days of celebration can be truly everyboby's favorite day. Overly-idealistic as this may sound. Our faith in the possibility of it's realization is ever intact as we observe what's going on. People are literally starving to death because they simply can't get some of the planet's abundant supply of food to eat; Infants are getting pimped; Armed conflicts are making refugees out of many of our brothers and sisters; Police swoops with the accompanying intimiation and worse; Innocents being convicted and sometimes executed on the basis of false evidence...We aren't looking for more to complain about, but sometimes we can't help but do so. But again it would all be for nothing if this didn't lead to solutions. Let's make that talk about things will be alright count for something. Please don't doubt what you can do about the situation in your own way.
The universe sings; and we all must. We can sing through sports, text, dance, movie making, theatre, sculpture, drawing, painting, playing musical instuments or through our voices. The way you do your business, your walk, your talk, your smile-that's a songs.
We all have got to sing out. If we don't, someone else may have to do it for us. Instead of confusion, reaching out will further clarify humanity's oneness and guarantee the harmony a precious countless many have lived, worked and died for.

we cannot hold back the positive
