Pushim
Female vocalist Pushim first made her mark on the music scene in 1997 on the reggae album gBad Bad westh. She worked with Fire Ballfs Chozen Lee on the track gSoulful Dancerh. The Western Japan (Kansai) native impressed many with her powerful and soulful vocals. That same year she moved to Jamaica and had the opportunity to work with local musicians. Some of the music she produced there was played in local dancehalls as well..

In 1999 Pushim released her debut single
gBrand New Dayh, followed by her first album gSay Greetingsh in 2000. This and her second album gColorsh (2001) became long sellers on the market. Since then she has had continued success with the crossover hit single gForeverh and a third album gPiecesh (2003) which ranked in the top 10 on the oricon charts. That same year, in Jamaica, she sang on stage at the major event Reggae Sumfest 2003 along with other stars including Destinyfs Child. Her 4th album gQueendomh was released in 2004. With a range that includes everything from reggae and hip-hop to jazz and gospel, her popularity continues to rise. There are not many true gDivash on the J-Pop scene, but Pushim has risen to become just that.
