Fire Ball
The group known as Fireball has been studying and performing reggae since 1991 when the members were in Junior High and High School respectively. They toured and performed with the reggae band Mighty Crown through the mid 90s. In 97 the trio of Chozen Lee (DJ), Jun 4 Shot (DJ), and Criss (vocals) decided to officially form the group Fire Ball and began performing on stage as a unit. DJ Truthful, who was a member of the Mighty Crown troupe, joined them in 99. He was followed by Yoko C, who had just returned from training in London.

The group was officially established in the J-reggae scene when Mighty Crowns' newly started music label,
LIFE STYLE, featured them on a compilation CD in 2000. Afterwards Yoko C left the group, but in 2002 Fire Ball released their 1st album "Hinotama" (Fireball in Japanese). This album made a big impact on the Dancehall scene in Japan and was successfully followed up by the album "Book of Life".

Since then the group has continued on their upward trend. Appearing at various reggae music festivals around Japan and in 2004 performed in front of a 20,000 plus crowd at the
"Yokohama Reggae Festival". They began working on their 4th album in early 2005.Their latest single is the dancehall styled "Kit Heat Odoru Carmen" released along with a promotion video that has done well on MTV. Only time will tell how far these young artists will go, but if you have an interest in J-reggae check them out.
