MY LIFE IN THE ARMY

For 18 years I was in the army - well, the British Army circa 1775. Here I am, far left, with the company I commanded for 7 of those years I spent in the unit ... my 10th Grenadiers. Amazing. I think they were the best company in the hobby. They could fire five rounds a minute from those muskets. Never lost a tacticle battle. They even amazed the enemy. A once in a lifetime team I was very lucky to be a part of. |

Another shot of the Grenadiers on the march - this time in Roslindale, MA. I'm in the front, out of camera range. Drat! |

My incredible Serjeant, the best there was, Kevin Galligan. All he wanted to be was a firefighter in Brockton. And now he is! On the left you see him in Quebec in 1998. On the right, you see him in 2003, right after a fire. He left the 10th around the same time I did. Miss him a lot. |

That's me on the left, with John Nesti and Kevin Galligan. This was taken in Danvers, MA, I think it was 1998. |

Watching the Serjeant drill the company. He did that a lot, because he did it better than I did. I just stood around and looked mad. That seemed to impress people and made me look like I knew what I was doing. This was also in Danvers, and again, I think it was 1998. |
