This shot was taken in White Plains, NY in October of 2001. This turned out to be by last event with the 10th. I served 18 years, and missed somewhere in the neighborhood of seven events in all that time. I resigned my commission soon after this picture was taken, and returned to lead the company one last time the following April for the Battle of Lexington - but this this event in NY was the last real battle. I'm in there somewhere, on the left side of the line, taking my boys up the hill one last time. Wow - we really had some great times. I'll never forget them. |
