MORE THEATRE?
In February of 1999 I opened in Ken Ludwigs "Moon Over Buffalo," and we were the ONLY Boston production of this play that got a good review from the critics! Two weeks before we opened I was hit by a drunk driver who was seein' the sights at 100mph. The accident was actually called in as a fatality, but when the police arrived they were surprised to see me sitting on the Jersey Barrier watching all the cars drive by gawking to see blood. That's one audience I disappointed.   Did the show with more than my share of pain and a lot of black bruises, and a back injury that haunts me to this day, but hey, I got a couple of of good pictures out of the deal!
With John Schnatterly, who is now making a name for himself in New York!  Wonderful actor.
Getting some early practice for "Barrymore" playing George Hay and this terriffic drunk scene. One of my most favorite moments on stage. I dont know why critics dont like this play - I think it's terribly funny.  Too low brow I guess - well, critics these days are really just frustrated actors and  armchair directors. What ever happened to Elliot Norton? The profession died when he retired.
Simpatico.
The scarriest whacko I ever played on stage - "Vinnie" in Sam Shepherds "Simpatico."  I won Best Actor at EMACT for this one. Shows you how much I know. I didn't really like this play, I was uneasy with it all, didn't understand half of it, kept forgetting lines, and I win an award. Go figure.  These pictures were taken at the Spingold Theatre in Waltham, Ma. in May of 2000.
With Shawn Maguire - one of the very best I've worked with, and one of the nicest guys.
