Welcome to Kimburu Valley!

You enter the strangely lit cave with fright griping you so tightly that you fear your heart will beat its way out of your chest. The mist that drifts in from the plains gradually subsides as you continue further in, and down from the looks of it, as the path ahead of you begins to slope downward. With the mist gone you are now able to see that the source of the light is the dim torches lining the walls. The dirt beneath your feet gradually disappears as well, changing to the slick surface of rock. Now the cave is beginning to look inhabited. But--inhabited by whom?

The walls to either side of you begin to widen out. You forget to wonder about the torches as the tunnel suddenly opens up to a large chamber. More caves lead off in different directions from this room, creating a sort of honeycomb appearance. The room itself is brightly lit, with chairs and a small coffee table sitting in the center. An empty mug sits atop the table beside a pile of books, while the floor is strewn with more books and, most surprisingly, an empty pizza box.

"Who the fudge are you?!"

You whirl around toward the sound of the voice and gasp, falling backwards onto your rump in the process as you behold the strange creature before you. The winged, cat-like thing glares at you.

"Hello! You deaf or something, sugar? I said who the fudge are you and what are you doing in my lair?"

Coherence comes back to you and you manage to mumble something that sounds like "Nyuh, nyuh, nyuh." The cheetahgoyle rolls her eyes.

"Oy! Humans! Well, I guess it's my fault for leaving the lights on. You probably got lost and came in to escape the rain, huh? Oh, well, now that you're here you may as well stay. I'm not in the habit of turning away people in need. There's probably some leftover pizza around here if you're hungry and there's plenty to do to pass the time."

You gather your wits, stand up, and introduce yourself. The female smiles.

"I'm Jyncie, and this is Kimburu Valley. That's Kiswahili for 'half-wild cat.' Kind of appropriate don't ya think? Anyway, feel free to look around. The Gallery is full of neat pictures to look at, there's tons of books in The Library to choose from. In fact, I have a book right here that's All About Me.
