These 640 LAMINATED COLORFUL CARDS can make learning and teaching music easy, fun, fast, imaginative, progressive and didactically flexible.
GAMES teach Ensemble performance, Harmony, Rhythm, Melody Analysis and Musical Forms.
CARDS can serve as support material for any method presently in use by teachers and conductors.

The 30 PAGE
TEACHER'S MANUAL with many musical examples explains in detail the procedures for activities adapt for classroom, choral/instrumental ensemble or individual teaching for students of all ages.

CARDS CAN BE REQUESTED AND REORDERED according to necessity.

5 GROUPS OF CARDS: RHYTHM CARDS LEVELS 1 & 2. MELODY CARDS LEVELS 1, 2, & 3.

MELODY CARDS 1 HAVE CAPTIONS and can be made to order in any western language. In this case, Joan would appreciate receiving help in translating from the teacher requesting the materials.

THE CARDS:
1. RHYTHM CARDS LEVEL I:  INTRODUCTION TO BASIC RHYTHMIC NOTATION
=indicated for beginning music students of all ages
=ideal for general music classes, beginning choral and instrumental Ensembles
AIM: to introduce basic rhythmic notation and proportionate length of notes through enjoyable stimulating group study
CARD FORMATION:
=4 sets of 6 different colored, numbered cards
=each set is in a different meter
=the six-color scheme is repeated for each set
=each card presents the equivalent of one measure of music
=students and Teacher each use one or more sets per game

2. RHYTHM CARDS LEVEL II: GAMES IN MULTIPLE MEASURES AND PHRASES
=indicated as a continuation of Level 1 activities; the older or advanced student can begin at this level
AIM: to create continuity in interpreting several and varying measures
=cards demonstrate variations of note values within the meters of 2 / 4, 3 / 4, 4 / 4, 6 / 8
CARD FORMATION:
=4 sets of 4 cards
=each set is in a different time signature
=all cards in one set are of the same color
=each card presents the equivalent of three measures of music
=students and teacher each use one or more sets per game
     
3. MELODY CARDS LEVEL I: INTRODUCTION TO BASIC RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MELODIC INTERVALS, RHYTHMS AND NOTATION, WITH ANALYTIC TITLES
=indicated for children ages 5 - 12
AIM: to help the young singer acquire preliminary sight-singing skills with the aid of descriptive title phrases printed on each card. Cards are available in bilingual English/Italian phrases but can be reprinted MADE TO ORDER in other western languages.
CARD FORMATION:
=64 colorful cards with captions
=students work with one or two cards per game
=one set of cards is sufficient for class/choral collective activities
DEMONSTRATION SHEETS IN LARGE PRINT are provided for the teacher
LAMINATED TEACHER'S GUIDES are included for the teacher's convenience during activities

4. MELODY CARDS LEVEL II:  INTRODUCTION TO SPECIFIED INTERVALS
=indicated for children ages 7 and up, and beginning adults
AIM: to help the novice singer recognize and sing specific intervals. Precision of musical interpretation is not required or expected
CARD FORMATION:
=5 sets in different colors of 40 different cards (totaling 200 cards)
=each card presents a different melodic motif based on specified intervals
=cards do not have time or key signatures
=students work with one or more cards per game
=one set of cards is sufficient for class/choral collective activities
DEMONSTRATION SHEETS IN LARGE PRINT are provided for the teacher
LAMINATED TEACHER'S GUIDE with all cards printed is included for the teacher's convenience

5. MELODY CARDS LEVEL III: MIXED INTERVALS, TIME & KEY SIGNATURES
=indicated for children ages 8 and up, and beginning adults
AIM: to help the student progressively understand meter, tonality, rhythm and intervals
CARD FORMATION:
=5 sets of 40 different cards (totaling 200 cards)
=each set is in a different color
=different meters and tonalities are specified
=each card is the equivalent of 2 measures
=students work with one or more cards per game
=one set of cards is sufficient for class/choral collective activities
=sets can be requested separately
DEMONSTRATION SHEETS IN LARGE PRINT are provided for the teacher
