Below are some graphical representations of the results
gathered.
For reference purposes, the questions are repeated here:
- Are you a full-time student?
- Not including lecture hall classes (~35+ students), in
any class with which you believe you could have attained a higher grade, do
you feel that the instructor was at fault? (If Yes, See #3.
If No, see #7)
- Was it because of the instructor’s teaching style?
(If Yes, see #4, If No, see #5)
- Was it because the instructor was inconsistent within
his/her own teaching style?
- Was it because of the instructor’s physical presentation
(appearance, dress conduct, and classroom etiquette)?
- Was it because of the instructor’s intellectual
presentation (e.g. the instructor did not have a sufficient grasp of the
material, tended to sidetrack a lot, did not follow the syllabus, monotonous
voice, etc.)?
- Do you think that you could have performed better and
received a higher grade with a model teacher (model teacher from the teacher’s
perspective, not the student’s)?
- Do you prefer to maintain a formal instructor - pupil
relationship? (No would be to say that you prefer to regard your teacher as a
friend rather than an instructor)
- Do you feel that whether or not your instructor is
amiable to you is important to your results in an academic setting?
- Do you feel that your education at the Institution of
IVC is providing adequate services in order for you to achieve?
