I came to this country about 18 years ago and I have lived in different cities in the bay area
such Oakland, Fremont and Hayward. I went to Oakland High School for one year and then went to Merritt College where I
graduated with A.S degree in Computer Electronics in 1984. Right after graduation, I went to work as a computer technician
for a year when I decided to go back to school. I went back to school to study to be an auto mechanic at College of Alameda.
While taking the course, I started a mechanic job as part time. By working and going to school, I managed to finished the mechanic course in 1987. I became a full time mechanic in 1989.
Thing change in 1989; I started a totally new career with the County of Alameda, doing office work. It has been 11 years now and I am still with the County. I like what I am doing here and I think that is where I will stay till I retire.
Why am I taking this course? Well one day I broused the county's web site and found that a Web Designer gets $81K per year.
Doesn't that number give you any motivation? At least it does for me, and I'll leave that question for you to answer it for yourself.
I like to read news online and these are my favorite sites: Tri Valley Newsgroup, San Francisco Chronicle & Examiner, and San Jose Mercury News.
