My name is John I am 47 and married with three lovely daughters, Michelle is my oldest, then Kelly and last but not least Marnie, my wife's name is Marlene and she is also my best friend.  You will find out while viewing my site that my family is the most important thing in my life.  When I was 39 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  It is a debilitating disease that affects the nervous system and can affect all sufferers differently, it can leave the victim wheelchair bound fortunately, I am still able to walk with the aid of a stick, although I do require a wheelchair if I am going any distance.  Coping with M. S. is a difficult subject to explain as each day can affect you differently, and without the help and support of my wife and family, I don't think that I could ever have learnt to cope with it.  But with my wife and my daughters  bullying me to just get on with life and not to feel sorry for myself, I managed "through time" to do just that, but I have to admit some days are harder than others. As there is no cure at present for M. S., I attend an M.S. therapy center based in Dundee where I receive Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy.  The therapy consists of breathing oxygen while the body is under pressure, the theory behind it is that, as oxygen is a natural healer, the body absorbs more while under pressure. The Photograph on the left is the Hyperbaric chamber, it holds up to five people at a time and the treatment lasts for approximately one hour.  If you would like to find out more about M S therapy's click here - www.taysidemstherapy.co.uk or to find out more about Multiple Sclerosis click here - http://www.mssociety.org.uk.  After I was first diagnosed as having M.S. I was able to continue working for approximately eight years, but as the disease progressed I unfortunately had to take early retirement, since then I have took an interest in computing and have been attending Dundee College and have achieved an  E C D L (European Computing Driving License) and am currently studying for an S. V. Q. level II using Information Technology, I am also taking classes in Web Design. I have also been accepted for an H N C course in Web Developement, hopefully this will lead to an H N D in Web Development.

My wife

Marlene Is my best Friend.  We first met in 1967 in my sisters house.  I was visiting, and Marlene  who was one of Anne's friends, was their as well.  A week later we met at the ice rink and started going out, I consider myself as being very lucky, because I don't  think that many men that can say, their wife is also their best friend.     

My Daughters

Michelle is my oldest daughter who tends to do things her own way, instead of getting her degree first then getting married and starting a family, She had her family first and then went to university. Kelly is number two she is a secondary school computing teacher and Marnie who is our youngest is doing a post graduate course in social work. As you can see I am very proud of my three girls and what they have achieved.  If I am ever asked who my favorite is?  my answer would have to be the one that I am with at that particular time.

I also have the support of three lovely grandsons Stephen, Aiden and Joshua. Stephen and Aiden are Michelle's boys and Josh belongs to Kelly, Marnie is married but is still studying at University so hopefully once she is qualified I  might get a grand daughter.
