Manager....Delia Cardoza |
The
"Boxing Record" website lists "Benny Ford" as manager
and the news clippings mention "Windy Winsor" as manager. Joe's scrapbook has a picture of "Wirt Ross", with the words "Joe's First Manager", inscribed below it. But his wife Delia ended up eventually managing his fights. |
I Listed all the
different weights I could find to show how much Joe
had to go up and down in weight in order to meet the hodge-podge of different class fighters that his Managers promoted for him. The names with no weight listings, are Welterweights which was his supposed fighting weight class of 147lbs. |

The additional opponents names, as seen
below, were written by his wife Delia on the last page of his
scrapbook. As this list included no dates, I have kept them separate
from the research
on internet websites above and included results to add to and update
the
statistical details (W,L,D and total), at top of page.
I discovered some additional fights below (not listed in "Boxing Records"), in the Newspaper Clippings of Joe's Scrapbook -See: "Murdock/Cardoza, Feature Bout" Update: Since I first listed the below fights, the "Boxing Records" have found and added more contests and names to their lists which I have added above. Now, I have to try and sort out which contests and names are repeated on the list below so, I'm sure the total number of fights is not correct at this time. |
