  1. You can pronounce the names of all the drivers in the Brickyard 400 without taking the tobacco out of your mouth.
  2. The Indianapolis 500 pace car will never be described as an "extended cab".
  3. At the Indianapolis 500, T-shirts are sold for fans to wear. At the Brickyard 400, they are sold for fans to wave around.
  4. At the Indianapolis 500, Tony Stewart is usually out of the race before the photographers get there to be punched.
  5. An Indianapolis 500 pit crew doesn't include a "tar changer".
  6. In the Brickyard 400, Jimmy Spencer actually fits in the car.
  7. After a wreck in the Brickyrad 400, they use a tow truck; in the Indianapolis 500, they use a vacuum cleaner.
  8. The Indianapolis 500 has been won by a guy named "Rick"; the Brickyard 400 has been won by a guy named "Ricky".
  9. The Andretti at least finishes the race in the Brickyard 400.
  10. The Brickyard 400 winner climbs the fence to get away from the revenuers.
