- At the Indianapolis 500, Tony Stewart is usually out of the race before the photographers get there to be punched.
- An Indianapolis 500 pit crew doesn't include a "tar changer".
- In the Brickyard 400, Jimmy Spencer actually fits in the car.
- After a wreck in the Brickyrad 400, they use a tow truck; in the Indianapolis 500, they use a vacuum cleaner.
- The Indianapolis 500 has been won by a guy named "Rick"; the Brickyard 400 has been won by a guy named "Ricky".
- The Andretti at least finishes the race in the Brickyard 400.
- The Brickyard 400 winner climbs the fence to get away from the revenuers.
