"Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Cake

This recipe comes from the Hershey's Cocoa container, and is the best chocolate cake recipe I know of.

2 cups sugar
1� cups flour
� cups cocoa
1� teaspoons baking powder
1� teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
� cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 350�. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans or one 9 x 13 baking pan (I use cocoa instead of flour for this). Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pan(s). Bake 30-35 minutes for round pans or 35-40 minutes for 9 x 13 cake. Cake is done when a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (be careful because the cake will rise quite a bit during baking). Cool 10 minutes; remove cake from pan(s) to wire racks. Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
