Cream Cheese Icing

This recipe comes straight from the old reliable Betty Crocker cookbook:

8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar

Combine cream cheese, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add powdered sugar one cup at a time until frosting is of spreading consistency. Frosts one 9 x 13 cake or one 2-layer 9-inch round cake.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing

Use above recipe, except add 2 oz. melted baking chocolate with cream cheese, milk, and vanilla. Hershey's Cocoa also says you can use 6 tablespoons of cocoa and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in place of the baking chocolate.
