This first for Britain, a juvenile showed very well on the sailing lake.
Birders from Cornwall, Scotland, Denmark and Belgium twitched the bird when
I was there.

Lapland Bunting

A great look at around 7 birds by the beach car park. Nearby the supporting cast included
2 Richard's Pipits, a lone Snow Bunting and Pomarine Skuas moving offshore.

Desert and Northern Wheatears

The Desert one (top 2 and bottom left) is usually an autumn rarity to the UK, but the common Wheatear (bottom right)
still present in the UK in December was equally if not more unusual!

Glaucous and Iceland Gulls

1st Winter Glaucous Gull (top 2) and 1st Winter Iceland Gull (bottom 2) present on the lake near to the tip.
