Yellow-legged Gull

An adult winter and a second winter present opposite Lovell's Wharf on the falling tide. No sign of the returning
Ring-billed Gull, but Herring, LBB, GBB, Black-headed and Common Gulls were also present.

American Golden Plover

This juv showed with a massive flock of Goldies (500-1000) in the fields by the coast road at Waxham.

Mediterranean Gull

One of several colour-ringed birds present between the two piers. This adult bird is probably of German origin -
white 3J79. Over 20 birds present coming to bread, an equal mixture of 1st, 2nd and adult winters.

Long-billed Murrelet

The find of the year. This pacific wanderer, a first for GB, showed well feeding close inshore.

An typical adult winter michahellis, taken on The Serpentine at Hyde Park. Unfortunately the
Atlantis type was probably back on The Longwater, so a direct comparison could not be made. However,
note the differences with the above. Comparison is made in the last photo with Herring Gull (argenteus - right).

an adult "white Lesser" Snow Goose (top right) and an adult "intermediate Lesser" Snow Goose (bottom photos).

Ring-necked Duck

This 1st winter drake showed well in the early morning sun with Tufted Ducks on Jackson's Marsh.
