The concluding talk of that day was "Keep on the Watch" - The Hour of Judgement Has Arrived. This was followed by the release of a new brochure entitled, "Keep On The Watch! For What? Why Is It Especially Urgent Now?" The outside cover shows an elderly gentleman in a comfy chair with a small table next to it with some study material on top. He has a newspaper in his hands and is looking to the camera. Behind him is a large globe on a stand. It was mentioned that it will be used in the field and for study but interestingly only the last 8 pages (out of 31) is actual study material as in paragraphs and questions. From what I have read so far of it, it is VERY direct and very to the point. The section on "The Hour of Judgement Has Arrived" contains some powerful information. Among other things, one statement that was made really hit me. In regards to when the nations turn on BTG it says, "It will be sudden, surprising, shocking, not forseeable, or gradual." This made me think of how even though we as Jehovah's people are adhearing to this years theme text of keeping on the watch and proving ourselves ready, when that time does come, it will still be a surprise to us as well. It appears that there will be no specific events that we can speculate that would lead up to that moment. Exciting times indeed!! |
