Just to Enjoy

Homespun from the Heart

This  is named Oh My Stars.  The inspiration  for this quilt was a box of crayons.  This belongs to my son.  This is a twin size.
The inspiration for this came from my love of Irish Chains.  The pieces are 1 inch squares.  This is a true scrap because I ran out of red and put blue pieces to fill in.  The results were very pleasing.   Meausres 39 inch square.
This quilt is called Barn Raising done in a log cabin.  I made it for my son, using maroon plaid,  gold for the center square, and sky blue.  It is a twin size.
One of my favoirte patterns, Grandma's Flower Garden.  I bought this at my first auction.  It  appears to have been made in the late  40's early 50's.
This was my first attempt at a double wedding ring.  It is made from scraps of material that have very fond memories for me.  My grandmas old aprons, my maternity clothes, and from the dress of my flower girl., just to name a few.  I keep adding different scraps along the way. One day it will be  finished.
Here is the 25th anniversary quilt I made for my brother and sister-in-law.  I mailed out pieces of 12 inch muslin squares and asked family and friends to create a memory. The blocks were beyond what I could imagine.  I think it's a little bigger than a queen size.  It only took me 3 months to hand quilt.
This wallhanging is called Brokenstar.  It is done in mostly jewel tones, and is quilted with the feathered wreath.
Here are a few quilts we really enjoy.  We would be glad to recreate  all but the Grandma's Flower Garden.  These quilts can be made  in sizes ranging from wall quilts to king size in your choice of colors.   Please E-mail us with any questions, comments or inquiries.
